After a series of Ahok case conducted by the Police with a case of alleged blasphemy Criminal Investigation Police set inactive Jakarta Governor Basuki Purnama Tjahaja or Ahok as a suspect. Many people who responded to the verdict are including the previous PP Muhammadiyah Youth aggressively demanding action to Ahok case law in various regions, is now directing its cadres to comply with legal process and no further demos.
General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Youth, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak appealed to all cadres of Pemuda Muhammadiyah not conduct demonstrations in addressing cases of alleged blasphemy by Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja off Purnama or Ahok.
In this case, the police have set Ahok as a suspect. In response, Dahnil rate, the police have been seriously handling this case with a decision determining the status of a suspect against Ahok.
“At the point that the legal process is ongoing, so I urge the youth cadres muhammadiyah not to choose, in the meantime, step demonstration,” said Dahnil, during the reading of the statement of a number of Islamic organizations on the establishment of the suspect Ahok, in Building Propagation Center of Muhammadiyah, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Dahnil said, since the beginning of the alleged blasphemy case it appears, Pemuda Muhammadiyah has determined attitude, which is to take legal action. Pemuda Muhammadiyah is also one of complain in the case.
“Since the beginning of our choice is to take legal action because we think it is the most civilized way. We’re done with you Basuki Tjahaja Purnama reported to the police,” said Dahnil.
Meanwhile, the central leadership of Muhammadiyah, Dahlan Rais, one chairman of Muhammadiyah in a press conference at the office of Muhammadiyah said, till now I guess PP Muhammadiyah not see, the so-called plan of volumes 3 demo will take place.

Additionally, Haedar requested that all elements of the nation and the people should not be divided because of this case. Because only lose energy and time for productive work to advance this nation.
PP Muhammadiyah Youth also appreciates the commitment of President Joko Widodo fully supports law enforcement on cases of alleged blasphemy. Including the president’s efforts in communicating with the various components of the nation, so as to create national stability and aspirations of the people can be accommodated. Related to the measures taken by the police, Haedar confirms that Muhammadiyah gave high appreciation to the Chief of Police and the police because the legal process was run firm, fast and transparent.
Observing the responses coming from PP Muhammadiyah Youth, it can be a common thread that Indonesia must unite to various developments, unite the country through joint measures to promote respect for the legal process.
