The Young Generation is the generation that will become the nation’s successors who are expected to be able to make Indonesia superior. This means that the fate of this nation in the future is in their hands. Will this nation be more advanced or even more towards depravity.
Therefore the morale of the young generation must be formed as early as possible to create a character that is in accordance with Pancasila.
Pancasila is an ideology of the nation that teaches morals for the community, especially the younger generation, so that they can practice the values contained in every precepts of Pancasila.
The Young Generation in Indonesia should be more familiar with Pancasila. This is so that the younger generation, especially millennials can withstand the exposure of global ideology, especially radicalism.
Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state, is very important and very basic. Pancasila is a very fundamental foundation for the administration of the Indonesian state.
Juridical position held by the Pancasila since August 18, 1945 together with the enactment of the 1945 Constitution in the news of the Republic of Indonesia No 7 by PPKI.
Pancasila sendri functions as a source of law that is, as the glue of national legal unity in the sense that every legal rule governing aspects of life does not conflict with Pancasila as a philosophy, view of life and the basis of the state.
Besides that, Pancasila also functions as a national law ideal which means that all the rules that arise and regulate people’s lives are formed to realize the ideals of the nation and state based on the value of the Pancasila as a whole.
Education about Pancasila for millennials will also be more striking if presented in a millennial style, of course without reducing its substance. So that young people can find their own formulas for understanding, absorbing and practicing Pancasila in their daily lives.
So that the future leaders of this nation will be able to continue the Pancasila relay in the future. Because by holding fast to Pancasila, Indonesia will be stronger and more powerful.
The characteristics contained in Pancasila include: Godhead, Humanity, Unity, Democracy, Justice. This is reflected in people’s daily lives.
Indonesia itself is included in a country that has the largest Muslim population in the world. Adhering to the democratic system in the state administration so that it makes the articulation and expression of Indonesian Muslims have different characters.
So that when in contact with a diverse and patterned civilization treasures, Islam in each place forms a new character in accordance with the relevant regional value system.
Then what about the radicalization in Indonesia, of course there are factors that are the cause of the fertility of radicalism, one of which is a very rigid religious doctrine, with a call back to the classical period namely Islam in a kaffah. The liberal attitude which understands the text is in conformity with or similar to the behavior of the Prophet making Islam a contextual religion.
Besides that growing radicalization among Muslims is a domino effect from the depravity of the social system of society that no longer heedes religious rules. Therefore, they believe that Islam is able to solve all the problems of society so that Indonesia must become an Islamic state.
The spread of Islamic discourse and movements in the Middle East also has a large influence on Islamic thought and movement in Indonesia. Because Islam in the Middle East is considered the center of true Islamic civilization.
These are some of the factors that cause radicalism to flourish in Indonesia. the spread of radicalism continues to move with high militancy. The pattern of spread is done in a conventional to modern way. This is evidenced by the increasingly easy to find the teachings of radicalism from magazines to the internet. Radical understanding of social space turns out to be able to deliver radicalism with cultural mechanisms.
Young people as the population of the most social media users in Indonesia, of course have to be careful in accepting any information available, for example in interpreting the word jihad, it does not mean having to take up arms to fly to Syria.
Pancasila is certainly a solution to radicalism in Indonesia, the values of the Pancasila contained therein is the answer that Pancasila is a unifying nation that can crush radicalism in Indonesia, because radicalism is very contrary to the ideas and characteristics of Pancasila.
