CIDISS – Surprising fact is coming from Katingan regency, Central Kalimantan Province. In the ceremony of anniversary the 59 of Central Kalimantan, The national day of resurgence the 108, Education day the 127 and the day of autonomous the 20 at hall of regent’s office, Regent of Katingan, Ahmad Yatengli said that there are 44% citizents of Katingan is dropout.
“Today, in Katingan regency we have problem concern in Education to the high number of drop out. Based on the data, citizen will continue educates their children after Elementary school to Junior High School is only reach 98%. Meanwhile, after Junior high school to Senior high school is only 56%. It means that there are 44% of Katingan’s citizen is drop out,” said him like quote in BorneoNews.co.id
Answer to the problems, Ahmad Yatengli and all the regency’s party will work hard to decrease the number of drop out. He hopes in the future, there are no more citizens with drop out. It also related with the vision of Katingan regency. The visions are health, smart and open, and then all education problems become number one priority.
Besides of drop out problem, Ahmad Yatengli also talked about Education quality. He assumed that the education quality is important for citizen, especially student after finished study in Senior high school.
The challenge in the future, the citizen will face Economic ASEAN community.
Then all the education problem is not only belongs to regional government but also belongs to government of province and center.
