Albino Orang Utan is found in Central Kalimantan

CIDISS- Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) Nyaru Menteng, Central Kalimantan, save the Kalimantan Orangutan (Pongo Pygmaeus) which is rare bergenetik, and the OrangUtan previously found in the Tenggirang village, Kapuas Hulu district, Kapuas regency.
The Orangutan is females and has aged 4-5 years which is characterized white on hairy and skin, and also blue-eyed. Orangutans are endanger, now in the process of treatment at Nyaru Menteng rehabilitation center BOS.
BOS’ spokesman, Monterado Fridman stated that orangutan is rare. “In Kalimantan, this is first time in finding. If in Sumatra, is still limited to rumors for this reserved orangutan. We call the orangutans as Albino, “said menterado as in merdeka.com.
Monterado explained, even the albino orangutan is in rehabilitation center of Nyaru Menteng, but it is not undergoing rehabilitation.
“Yes, this orangutan is 5 years. It was wild and arrested in forest. There is no reason to be rehabilitated because it’s wild, just we still need data, observation, and health condition, and we do a treatment. As soon as possible, we have plan to translocation, release back to forest, “he explained.
The BOS Foundation, according to Monterado, appreciates the people in Kapuas Hulu, whose directly report to authorities. As information, Kapuas Hulu previously, the location of the massacre the orangutan and had a chance to make a big commotion.
“The Kapuas Hulu has dense populations of orangutans. The local community is already good. Socialization to protect orangutans is sounding both by local people, just different village through the location of the massacre earlier.
