CIDISS, Central Kalimantan – August 2015 ago, Central Kalimantan Province was on big land and forest fire. It caused the most of area in Central Kalimantan was smog. Moreover, the capital city, Palangka Raya became the worst area of air level condition.
This year, forest and land fire case is shadowing the second largest province in Indonesia. Government and the party keep continue to tackling and anticipate the fire. But today, again, the land in some area of Central Kalimantan is in burning condition.
It is said by chief of BNBP or National Disaster Relief Agency, Brigong Tom Mandez. Brigong admitted that the forest and land fire is going happen on Central Kalimantan Province. He added, it is almost in area of Central Kalimantan, highly in neither people’s land nor forest. But, his party doesn’t find land fire in area of large private company.
According to data, the forest and land fire case has seems in regency of Barito Selatan, Kapuas, Pulang Pisau, Kotawaringin Timur, Kotawaringin Barat, Katingan, Sukamara and Palangka Raya City. National Disaster Relief Agency has made an effort to fight fire. They use two units of helicopter Bell 214.
Even, there are several cases of forest and land fire in some area, the status is on warning of forest and land fire. The government has not been planning to change the status yet. The decided status of warning of forest and land fire was signed by Governor of Central Kalimantan, Sugianto Sabran on 11 July 2016, and it will be valid until 8 October 2016.
“We hope hand from party in tackling and prevention the forest and land fire. We hope the smog disaster in last year will never happen in 2016, and soon,” said Brigong.
On the independent day the 71 on 17 August 2016, government of Central Kalimantan accepted a number of gifts from center government. The gifts are 20 unit of operational assistance in disaster relief.
The assistance operational unit is a car rescue tactical unit (RTU), 6 cars for general kitchen, 1 truck, and 12 trail motor cycle.
