ACEH — Aceh Youth Creative Hub (AYCH) or Aneuk Muda Aceh Superior and Great Center Building (AMANAH) educates the younger generation to carry out Smart Farming or modern agriculture.
The main spirit of AMANAH is to revive agriculture through modernization. This effort took place through a talk show in Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency.
Aceh Province Regional Coordinator Ambassador for Millennial Farmers, Marzuki explained to the youth who attended the event about the concept of smart farming.
In his presentation, smart farming is cultivating plants but using advanced technology to increase agricultural efficiency and productivity.
This technology allows farmers to control how their plants develop even from a long distance.
“Smart farming is very suitable for millennial farmers who are familiar with technology,” said Marzuki.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Aceh Farmers Market Forum, Benni Baihaqi, added that the key to success in competing in the market is consistent branding.
The existence of strong branding clearly makes agricultural products better known to the wider community.
Therefore, he continues to encourage young people who participate in AMANAH activities to dare to introduce their products in an interesting way.
“We must have the courage to do branding so that our products are known and trusted by consumers,” said Benni.
On the same occasion, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture’s Mainstay Farmer Ambassador, Sandi Octa Susila, gave very high appreciation to the program that AMANAH was running.
For him, the programs and activities that AMANAH carries out are very useful for honing the soft skills and hard skills of young farmers.
In fact, according to Sandi, the AMANAH program is an important point for agricultural development in Aceh.
“This program is an important point in the development of agriculture in Aceh, and I hope that more young people will be inspired to enter the agricultural sector,” said Sandi.
The main aim of this activity is to provide youth with an understanding of the potential of the agricultural sector.
Because in fact, modern agriculture can be the right choice for an interesting and promising career for young people.
