Papua – Chairman of the Garuda Sakti Generation of Papua Province, Absalom Kreway Yarisetouw, appreciated the commitment shown by President Prabowo Subianto in developing Papua.

“As a Papuan youth figure, I feel that President Prabowo’s support for development in Papua is a very important step for the progress of our land,” said Absalom.

Absalom also said that his party supports President Prabowo in making Merauke the center of the national food barn.

“President Prabowo’s actions during his visit to Merauke, South Papua some time ago showed that President Prabowo did not only talk about development, but also really engaged with the Papuan people on the ground, understood their needs, and tried to provide real solutions,” he said.

“In addition, I strongly support President Prabowo’s decision to choose Merauke as the center of the food barn that will meet the needs of the Papua region and even other regions outside Papua. This decision shows his great vision in ensuring food security that can not only provide short-term benefits, but also broader economic sustainability for the Papuan people,” he added.

Absalom Kreway hopes that the development of Papua during the era of President Prabowo’s government can continue so that there is an improvement in the quality of life of the Papuan people.

“My hope for President Prabowo’s government is that development in Papua can continue, both in terms of infrastructure in various provinces, and in improving the quality of human resources (HR). Papua has extraordinary potential, but is still lagging behind in terms of HR. For that, I hope there will be more programs that focus on education, skills training, and improving the quality of life of the Papuan people,” explained Absalom.

“With better human resource development, I am sure Papua can catch up and create a young generation that is ready to compete in the world of work. This will strengthen competitiveness and support the success of development throughout Papua,” he concluded.
