Papua Development Encourages Community Welfare

Many parties expressed their optimism for the massive and intensive development of Papua thanks to the real work of the figure of President Joko Widodo. Therefore, this will further encourage the improvement of people’s welfare in Cenderawasih Earth.
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) continues to accelerate development that is specifically oriented towards improving the welfare of the entire people of Papua and West Papua. Therefore, the Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin continues to emphasize to all parties to be able to continue to get closer and adapt to various kinds of conditions, ranging from natural conditions to the conditions of the people on Cenderawasih Earth so that all work programs related to welfare development can be implemented properly.
The Vice President emphasized that he really hopes that a new approach that is far more humane will occur. Not without reason, because this humanist approach will really be able to create a much safer, more conducive Papua so that all work programs for welfare development can be carried out.
To further ensure that there is a humanist approach that has been carried out by the central government, KH Ma’ruf Amin stated that not all program implementers have to come from the center alone, but also continue to involve local authorities who really understand how all the ins and outs of their own area. .
Therefore, cooperation and synergy between stakeholders in the regions and also the community must continue to run properly. In order to take a welfare approach for all Indigenous Papuans (OAP), the government itself also continues to strengthen territorial operations by involving several parties, namely the Kodim, Koramil, Babinsa who are the spearheads in the field.
In the future, in order to make efforts to improve the welfare of all people on Earth of Cenderawasih better, it is necessary to increase efforts to make the approach more comprehensive. The Vice President then appealed to the entire implementation of various policies to be truly aligned with all the aspirations of various elements of society in Papua so that the impact can be felt as a whole by the people of Cenderawasih Earth.
So far, efforts to improve welfare have been carried out in a comprehensive way by the government, namely there is synergy that covers all sectors and also involves ministries/agencies, local governments including all elements in Papua, such as community leaders, traditional leaders, religion, women leaders, youth and all of them work together to accelerate welfare development in the Land of Papua.
Emphatically, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin stated that there should be no more delays in efforts to accelerate development in Papua because that has become a strong commitment of the government, especially during the leadership of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
In fact, it’s not just a commitment made through words, but President Jokowi has worked directly to accelerate the development of the welfare of Papua by issuing Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2020 which regulates this matter.
Meanwhile, Deputy II of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Abetnego Tarigan emphasized that he was very optimistic that with the establishment and development of the Papua International University (UIP), it would be able to produce highly qualified human resources (HR) from Cenderawasih Earth and would be able to contribute their contribution to the development of Papua.
It was not half-hearted, he even said that the development and establishment of UIP was a bright spot from the East to start a new foundation for Indonesia’s development, not only in Papua, but even throughout the Eastern region to become much more qualified, competitive and also able to improve achievements and absorption of potential workers who are highly qualified in their fields.
The KSP gave such high appreciation and considered that the establishment of UIP would play a very important role in producing intelligent Papuan people who have strong and superior national character. The reason, according to him, is that the Papua International University has very high potential both in developing cooperation starting from the field of international education because it is indeed a strategic area of Papua which is located close to the borders of several countries such as Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific countries. .
On another occasion, Deputy for Policy Support for Economic Development and Increasing Competitiveness, Secretariat of the Vice President, Prof. Ahmad Erani Yustika, the government so far has made a lot of coordination and also monitored the implementation of development in Papua, including adding weight to planning and also increasing program initiation.
It cannot be denied that the government really wants an increase in welfare for all people in Indonesia, including the people of Papua. Many parties also expressed their optimism that indeed the development in Cenderawasih that had been carried out by President Jokowi was proceeding properly, especially the many programs that were specifically devoted to actually improving the welfare of the people of Papua.
