Jayapura – The government of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka continues to receive positive appreciation from various levels of society, especially from Papuans. Their commitment to advancing the eastern region of Indonesia is increasingly visible through various development programs that have a direct impact on the welfare of the Papuan people.

Papuan Youth Figure or Chairman of the Garuda Sakti Generation of Papua Province, Absalom Kreway Yarisetouw said that his party greatly appreciates President Prabowo’s commitment to developing Papua.

“As a youth figure who is also the chairman of the Garuda Sakti Generation of Indonesia in Papua Province, I appreciate President Prabowo’s commitment to developing Papua. In my opinion, President Prabowo’s commitment can be seen from when the President visited Merauke, South Papua some time ago. President Prabowo went directly to Merauke to meet with Papuan farmers there,” said Absalom.

Absalom continued, his party also supports the selection of Merauke as a food barn to support food self-sufficiency.

“In addition, the commitment to develop Papua can also be seen from the selection of Merauke as the center of the food barn that can meet the needs in the Papua region and also other areas outside Papua,” said Absalom.

Then Absalom hopes that Papua will become more advanced under President Prabowo’s administration, both in terms of infrastructure and human resources.

“My hope for the Prabowo government is to be able to further develop Papua, both in terms of infrastructure in various provinces in Papua and also to develop human resources in order to increase Papua’s human resource index, so that Papua can catch up with other regions,” said Absalom.

The Prabowo-Gibran government is also focused on creating Papuan human resources that have high competitiveness, so that they can meet the job qualifications needed to support development throughout the Papua region.

“In addition, it creates competitive Papuan human resources so that they can meet job qualifications that support development throughout the Papua region,” concluded Absalom.
