Jakarta – The progress of the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) continues to move rapidly, reflecting the commitment of the Government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to make the development of the IKN modern, inclusive, and sustainable. After almost completing the construction of executive infrastructure, the focus has now shifted to the development of legislative and judicial infrastructure in order to create an integrated government function.
Until the end of 2024, the Core Area of the Government Center (KIPP) recorded a development progress of 61.7 percent of the total 109 project packages funded by the State Budget (APBN) since 2020. Priority projects include the construction of the DPR/MPR/DPD building, the Supreme Court, and other legal institutions, with the target completion of the whole in 2028.
The Special Staff of the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communication, Troy Pantouw, emphasized that sustainability is the main principle of IKN development. The spirit of cross-sector collaboration continues to be the foundation of IKN development.
“This is not just a development project, but collaborative work involving all elements of society, government, media, entrepreneurs, and the younger generation. ” IKN reflects the vision of Indonesia’s future: a digital-based smart city that maintains environmental sustainability and cultural values,” he said.
The IKN Authority ensures that the archipelago is not only the center of government, but also a symbol of national pride that is ready to welcome the future.
“IKN is not just about building buildings or roads, but building a new civilization for Indonesia,” added Troy Pantouw.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Diana Kusumastuti, conducted a review of the construction of an animal crossing tunnel on the IKN Access Toll Road Section 2B, Kariangu-Simpang Tempadung Segment, East Kalimantan. According to her, this development is in line with the principles of sustainability that are the guidelines for infrastructure development in IKN.
“This development is an example of efforts to preserve the environment and ecosystem. I also emphasize the importance of the safety of bridge materials,” said Deputy Minister Diana.
This animal crossing uses Corrugated Steel Plate material and is equipped with green plants to resemble the natural habitat of wild animals. With a length of 80.77 meters, a width of 25.12 meters, and a height of 12.74 meters, this tunnel supports the movement of animals such as sun bears in East Kalimantan.
The government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka presents a solution for the development of the IKN that prioritizes inclusion and collaboration. By involving all elements of the nation, the development of the IKN is real evidence of the spirit of mutual cooperation to create a better future.
