In his efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the eyes of the world while accelerating the distribution of national development, President Prabowo Subianto has taken the initial steps with a series of working visits abroad. This step is not only a symbol of increasingly close diplomatic relations, but also a concrete strategy to attract more investors to the country. For Indonesia, international investment is a key factor in driving equitable development throughout the country, and Prabowo seems to understand this role in his leadership very well.

Prabowo’s state visit this time is scheduled to last for 16 days, with five countries as destinations, namely China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. Each country visited certainly has a specific agenda, but the common thread is clear: strengthening bilateral cooperation and attracting investors.

While in China, Prabowo met with Chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji, a meeting that marked diplomatic closeness between Indonesia and China. In this meeting, Prabowo emphasized his commitment to fostering closer cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment, while expressing his respect for the friendship that has existed between the two countries for decades.

One of the tangible outcomes of the visit was the achievement of business agreements worth more than US$10 billion between companies from both countries. These agreements are not just numbers on paper, but a reflection of mutually beneficial economic collaboration, paving the way for major projects that can boost employment in Indonesia. This is a strong signal that international investors are increasingly viewing Indonesia as a potential and stable destination for investment.

Furthermore, bilateral relations with China, which will reach 75 years of age next year, provide a strong foundation for developing cooperation in various sectors. High hopes are placed on how this collaboration will open the door for infrastructure development initiatives, renewable energy, and other strategic sectors.

If Indonesia and China succeed in maintaining this relationship, it is hoped that the two countries can create a climate of mutually beneficial cooperation, which will ultimately also provide direct benefits to the Indonesian people.

This working visit is not just to fulfill an invitation from a friendly country. Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, emphasized that this trip is a manifestation of Indonesia’s active role in the international world. President Prabowo’s presence in bilateral and multilateral meetings shows the high appreciation that the world has for Indonesia, as well as Indonesia’s readiness to become a key player on the global stage.

Through this visit, President Prabowo wants to emphasize that Indonesia is a partner that is ready to work together in facing global challenges, while also acting as a bridge connecting the interests of developing and developed countries.

President Prabowo’s working visit is also an important moment ahead of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and G20 Summits, where Indonesia will play a central role in international economic policy discussions. At these summits, President Prabowo plans to champion the interests of developing countries, advocate for fairer trade, and encourage sustainable economic cooperation.

President Prabowo also hopes that through Indonesia’s involvement, the interests of developing countries can be heard, so that the relationship that is established is not just a trade relationship, but also a relationship that empowers each other.

As a new leader, President Prabowo seems to want to strengthen his commitment to creating a clean, transparent, and people-oriented government. On this visit, he not only invited investment but also ensured that every agreement reached was based on the principles of honesty and accountability, so that every assistance received would truly benefit the wider community.

President Prabowo emphasized that next year his government will work harder to realize the programs that have been planned, especially in terms of efficient governance that is free from various forms of irregularities.

Several national figures also welcomed the working visit positively. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Saan Mustofa, stated that this visit is very important for Indonesia to maintain good relations with other countries.

He emphasized the importance of this visit for Prabowo as the newly inaugurated president, so that he can demonstrate his leadership in the eyes of the world and strengthen Indonesia’s position as a respected country.

Saan also hopes that this visit will open up more investment opportunities, not only in the form of economic assistance, but also cooperation that can improve the quality of life of the community.

Not only that, with the increasing number of investment agreements brought home from this visit, it is hoped that there will be real improvements in infrastructure, technology and human resources in Indonesia.

Ultimately, this working visit is the first step of President Prabowo’s grand vision to bring Indonesia to a better direction. With the support of international investment and strategic partnerships, it is hoped that there will be a big leap in national development that can be felt by all levels of society.

For all of us, this is the time to support the government in maintaining stability and ensuring that every step taken is truly in line with the interests of the people.
