Efforts to accelerate the fulfillment of all the needs for facilities and infrastructure to support the expansion of the region or the Papua New Guinea continue to be intensified by the Government with a very strong commitment and also all concrete actions that are truly able to improve the welfare of the entire community.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) through the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) asks all stakeholders to be able to work together and be able to immediately agree on the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure (sarpras) in as many as 4 (four) New Autonomous Regions (DOB) Papua after the division is carried out .

Regarding efforts to continue to accelerate the acceleration of development in Cenderawasih Earth by fulfilling these infrastructure requirements, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), John Wempu Wetipo explained that this was being encouraged because it was also a direct direction from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian.

It is also known that with the formation of 4 (four) new provinces in Papua, of course this will also be very helpful and have an impact on the Indonesian Government’s efforts to accelerate development in Cenderawasih Earth.

How could it not be, the article is, with the division of regions, it will make the areas in Papua which were previously very wide and one might even say difficult to reach, now become narrower, then make community management much easier.

In addition, with the establishment of the Papua New Guinea, the Government of Indonesia will also continue to intensify infrastructure development in each region or region, so that the level or quality of public services will also be much better and maximized to really be able to help the whole community.

All the efforts that have been made by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, especially since the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)’s administration, are a form of real work to actually realize an even distribution of development to remote areas in all corners of Indonesia, especially including in Papua.

This is because the distribution of development in all corners of Indonesia is indeed one of the mainstay programs of President Jokowi, which continues to be intensified. He himself is very determined to be able to realize development in every region in the country.

In fact, the seventh President of Indonesia also emphasized that he had changed the development paradigm that had been carried out so far, which still impressed Java-centric because massive development continued to be carried out only on the island of Java, while in fact, Indonesia itself has many islands, and not just Java. inside it.

Therefore, then President Jokowi stated that he really wanted to change the paradigm of development carried out by the government so far to become Indonesia-centric, which means prioritizing the interests of all Indonesian people without exception and also not only giving the impression of favoring one region.

It is not half-hearted, even the Head of State of the Republic of Indonesia himself also stated that it is one of the main priorities of the government, will continue to promote development in the Land of Papua to really be able to help improve the welfare of the people there.

Of course, with this very strong commitment from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, at the same time it is also able to realize equitable development even to the most remote areas on Earth of Cenderawasih.

In order to realize the accelerated fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure in order to create development that continues to be encouraged in the Land of Papua, several important matters continue to be discussed and carefully prepared by the Government of Indonesia and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Some of them are regarding the completion of various master plan documents, such as the readiness of the location of the land for the construction of government offices, then there is a plan for budget requirements, both from the APBN and APBD which must also be really well prepared.

Not forgetting also, the existence of support from various other parties including several related ministries or technical institutions is very important. It is said that an indication of the need for budget allocations to fulfill facilities and infrastructure in the context of accelerating development in Papua is 9.9 trillion rupiah in the period 2023 to 2024.

The budget consists of 6.6 trillion Rupiah from the APBN of the Ministry of PUPR and also 3.3 trillion Rupiah from the 4 (four) APBD Papua New Guinea. then, the Head of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Development of Sarpras 4 New Autonomous Region of Papua added that there were still a number of needs that still needed to be prepared by the regions, namely the master plan, land status and also the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW).

In order to continue accelerating development in Cenderawasih Earth, it is also very important to have strong encouragement and commitment to be able to fulfill all the necessary facilities and infrastructure. In that case, the Government of Indonesia itself has a full commitment and is also really trying to make it happen.
