CIDISS – Indonesia is a country with thousands of islands and the sea. Many residents worked as fishermen. Lately, we often hear hot news about blasting and scuttling ships doing illegal fishing in territorial waters of Indonesia. Based on the foregoing, the Government has enacted regulations to address illegal fishing.

Illegal fishing also occurs in the territory of the district. The perpetrators were members of the fishermen who use tools banned by the Government. It aim to keep the ecosystem and sea living, also the fish.

As happen in the regency of Pulang Pisau, province of Central Kalimantan. The head of the Fisheries Agency and the Maritime District Pulang Pisau, Riduan Syahrani says that fisheries are illegitimate (illegal fishing) started occur in the waters of the coastal area of the local area regency of Pulang Pisau.

According to him, since last January, it along with the security apparatus doing raids in several places, one being in Sebangau.
