The firm action taken by security forces against the Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KSTP) is the right step. This needs to be taken by the security forces to protect the security and safety of the Papuan people and maintain the integrity of the state.

Most recently, the TNI-Polri have again shown their firmness in cracking down on armed thugs in the Central Mountains of Papua. The Joint TNI-Polri apparatus, consisting of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, the Yonif 310 Pam Border Task Force, the Mandala Task Force, and the Yapen Task Force, succeeded in taking action against the Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KST) which previously carried out security disturbances, attacks on civilians, arson and shooting in the area. around Oksibil Bintang Mountains, Papua Mountains.
In taking action against this case, Kapen Kogabwilhan III, Colonel Czi GN Suriastawa said that it was true that one KST of Ananias Ati Mimin’s subordinates had been shot dead, another one was injured by gunfire, then the others ran away when the joint TNI-POLRI troops gave chase,
The success of the KST crackdown in the Bintang Mountains is a manifestation of TNI-Polri synergy. TNI soldiers also actively support law enforcement operations carried out by the Police. TNI soldiers from the Nanggala Team who are members of the Cartenz Peace Task Force confiscated three firearms (senpi) and hundreds of ammunition belonging to the Papuan Terrorist Separatist Group (KSTP).
Head of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen), Admiral TNI Julius Widjojono said the Nanggala Team was a combination of two teams consisting of Nanggala 2 and Nanggala 8, each consisting of 9 personnel. Apart from the five KKB people who were paralyzed, said Julius, the rest of the separatist troops had fled.
Previously, KST Bintang Mountains was involved in various security disturbances and criminal acts. KST has been involved in disturbances and murders against the community since early 2023,
Security forces continue to make efforts to eradicate KST Papua. Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno also revealed the origin of the firearms used by the KKB after being identified by his party. It is strongly suspected that the weapons came from Papua New Guinea which were purchased by the KKB Pegubin troops in early 2022.
Based on its handling, Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani said that the Joint Force or Cartenz 2023 Peace Task Force had succeeded in paralyzing 4 KKBs in the Bintang Mountains area. The situation in the Bintang Mountains could be well controlled by the security forces and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Head of Information for Kogabwilhan III Colonel Czi GN Suriastawa said Pangkogabwilhan III had ordered firm and measurable action against KSTP in the Bintang Mountains, because so far they had committed crimes of killing Indigenous Papuan civilians (OAP), committing arson, killing Satpol PP, killing Brimob and other crimes.
The location of law enforcement took place in Mondusit Village, Serambakon District, Bintang Mountains Regency. The Joint TNI-Polri apparatus has again shown its firmness in cracking down on armed thugs in the Central Mountains of Papua.
It is hoped that this action will have a deterrent effect on Terrorist Separatist Groups which are seriously hampering prosperity in the Papua region. The public is expected to remain calm and continue to build, because the government is only cracking down on armed KST, while civilians are definitely protected.
The situation in the Bintang Mountains can be controlled well by the security forces and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda). Papua Police Public Relations Commissioner Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo stated that the security and public order (kamtibmas) situation in Bintang Mountains Regency has now returned to being safe and conducive after the shooting of KKB members.
In this situation, the government continues to make efforts to ensure that the Papuan people continue to carry out activities as usual so that the economy can run well and the police, assisted by the TNI, guarantee security in the Bintang Mountains Regency area.
