The community fully supports the enforcement of very severe penalties for attempts at smuggling and illegal possession of weapons that have been carried out by the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST). Not only that, but the sad thing is, they also used all the illegally obtained weapons to carry out a number of acts of terror that threatened the safety and lives of innocent civilians and security forces.

The Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Mendagri RI), Tito Karnavian, explained that it turns out that the ownership of weapons, which are now controlled by the Papuan separatist and terrorist group (KST), actually comes from 4 (four) sources.

The first source of weapons ownership which is now controlled by KST Papua comes from the act of appropriation that they carried out against security forces from joint personnel of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

The looting that was successfully carried out by these separatist and terrorist groups was when they also carried out attacks on security officers and apparatus who were carrying out their mission to maintain conduciveness in the Cenderawasih Earth region. It is known that the group often launches their attacks on security forces.

In fact, some of the attacks that were carried out claimed the lives of security forces soldiers, so that it was not only threatening the lives of innocent civilians, but KST Papua also continued to spread their terror by carrying out several attacks on security forces.

In fact, on the other hand, the security forces from the joint TNI, Polri and BIN personnel themselves continued to take action against them by prioritizing the principle of humanism with a preventive approach, but they continued to make the situation escalate and could never be invited to compromise or negotiate properly. good, because they often launch attacks suddenly without being able to talk to them first.

Then, the second source of weapons which is now controlled by gangs of separatist and terrorist groups is from the remnants of the armed conflict that exploded in Ambon before. This fact comes from how the weapons currently being used by KST Papua do indeed have similarities to the weapons that were used in the conflict in Ambon.

In fact, all the security forces themselves have succeeded in suppressing it and their efforts to restore peace to conduciveness in Tanah Ambon have been successful. However, it turned out that the remaining weapons from the conflict that had been successfully resolved were still stored and then sold to separatist and terrorist groups in Bumi Cenderawasih.

Furthermore, for the third source of weapons that KST Papua has, it turns out that they come from neighboring countries, namely they take or supply weapons from the Southern Philippines. It is known that the country is a country that is free of weapons.

Not only is it a gun-free country, but the Philippines even has quality business houses to produce weapons. Members of the Indonesian police managed to reveal this fact. They recently revealed that in fact there was indeed weapons production in the Southern Philippines, which is strongly suspected that weapons from neighboring countries were then smuggled in by way of illegal trade, of course by KST Papua.

There is another fourth source of weapons owned by the separatist and terrorist groups in Cenderawasih Earth, which is that they continue to send weapons through the ‘rat route’ in Papua. They have continued to smuggle, even though the number of weapons from the smuggling by rat routes is only a small portion.

By knowing how the sources of weapons owned by KST Papua, in which they turned out to have a supply of weapons and ammunition originating from smuggling efforts and possession of illegal weapons that they controlled, of course all these actions must be able to receive very severe punishment.

How could it not be, the article is that in Indonesia itself it is strictly prohibited from smuggling to illegal possession of weapons. Actually only from those 2 (two) cases, a person can immediately get a severe punishment. Especially when the weapons they had were then actually used to carry out a number of acts of violence to spread terror that threatened the lives of civilians and security forces.

So it is very clear that absolutely all the actions taken by the Papuan separatist and terrorist groups cannot be tolerated anymore because every action and movement they take in fact violates the laws and provisions in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia ( NKRI).

With all efforts to carry out smuggling as well as clear evidence of illegal possession of weapons which were carried out from many transactions or the results of confiscation from security forces who had previously been attacked. Indeed, KST Papua deserves to receive a very severe punishment for all the actions and actions they have committed and have harmed many parties.
