New technology ‘ Sambbu ‘ Points preventing forest fires and peat

CIDISS – Forest fires occur in a number of provinces in Indonesia make the attention from various parties in order to resolve and prevent it. One of them is Forest Indonesia employers ‘ Association (APHI), encourages its members to use the new technology of fire extinguishers which named “Sambbu Point”. This is to prevent forest fires and land (Karhutla), especially in the area of peat.
Executive Director APHI, Purwadi Soeprihanto, like quote in Antara News Kalteng.com, said that the parties will develop the technology for preventing the forest fires and land especially Member of APHI who in the forest Plant industry (HTI).
Purwadi said that the technology is the result of collaboration with one of the developers of APHI tool, and it will expand by telling its members that there is an effective prevention tool of forest fire and land, appropriate and the price is not too expensive.
It is because the Association members in prevent the fires need expensive tools and costs, so the appropriate technologies were invented, to be used by the Association members in the prevention of forest fire.
The workings of the tool is very easy, i.e only one unit is placed on the center which connected with water hoses and generator, so with the tool can sprayed water into the peat and a depth inside the peat of about two meters.
According to him, the tool is preferred to peat. In addition, the tools rated effective to prevent the fores fires in the peat that was previously presented to the Commander of the Indonesian armed forces and the Ministry of forestry and the environment, and it got a good response.
“The response of the Government is very appreciative of all, Mr. Commander and the Minister hoped this tools modified be better and can be applied to the whole company,” he said.
The development of the tools, he said would be focused to a number of provinces that there is area of peat which every year having forest fires and smog, such Riau, Jambi, Sumatra Selatan, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan.
