Ahead of the Inauguration of PYCH, President Jokowi Receives Appreciation for Papuan Youth
Jayapura – The Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) building in Jayapura Papua, will soon be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo. The construction of the building received appreciation from the Youth who are members of the Inspiring Young Papua (PMI)
This was conveyed by a young Papuan leader and one of the founders of PMI, George Sea, who thanked and gave his support to President Joko Widodo for the construction of PYCH.
“I express my deep appreciation for President Jokowi’s concern with building the Papua Youth Creative Hub,” said George.
PYCH itself is a place for young Papuans to channel their talents. PMI will later collaborate in self-development with the assistance and guidance of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
With the PYCH development program, they will be trained to become independent young entrepreneurs. With this program, it is hoped that indigenous Papuans (OAP) will have qualified and high-quality human resources.
Meanwhile, PMI assisted by BIN will occupy PYCH and will teach information technology. They are also trained to be internet literate and use it to do business on an international scale.
Apart from learning about information technology, at Papua Muda Inspiratif the younger generation is also trained in self-development, such as how to communicate well, including using English, internet marketing techniques, how to manage a business, and so on.
George added that the PYCH building has various facilities.
“The building of facilities and infrastructure from the Papua Youth Creative Hub which covers an area of 1.5 hectares with the main facilities including the main building, dormitory, sports venue, hall for exhibitions or presentations, and co-working space can be managed and utilized and accessed by all generations. young Papuans,” he said
In addition, said George, PMI is an organization to develop the potential of Indigenous Papuans (OAP) and help improve the welfare of the Papuan people. For this reason, PMI will collaborate and cooperate with other parties to achieve its goals.
In cooperating with other parties, George hopes that the PMI organization must become a transparent organization in managing partnership funds.
“PMI must be an open and transparent organization, in managing partnership funds provided by cross ministries as well as central and regional governments,” he concluded.
