All elements of society as well as election organizers including all levels of the security apparatus should continue to increase their vigilance regarding findings of indications of the flow of narcotics funds which were in fact used by certain individuals for election purposes.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has also responded to allegations of the flow of drug funds being used for the benefit of holding democratic parties and the political contestation of the general election (Election) in 2024. Regarding the alleged case, the KPU commissioner, Mochammad Afifuddin, said that his party was still investigating the allegations.
The KPU emphasized that they would definitely carry out further checks. Moreover, all indications of the possibility and also the potential for fraud committed by any party in holding elections, including the possibility of an irregular flow of funds, have certainly become the attention of the general election organizers and several other related agencies.
An appeal should indeed be addressed to all participants and prospective leaders who wish to contest in the 2024 Election so that all of them can be far more transparent in managing and receiving funds, especially if the funds are indeed indicated for activities during the General Election.
Of course, all matters relating to elections, especially matters that smell of transactions and also the flow of funds are indeed very important to be able to continue to record properly. Furthermore, regarding the regulation of the flow of funds and also transactions in the implementation of the 2024 General Election, it will also be strictly regulated in the KPU Regulation concerning General Election Campaign Funds.
Not only matters that smell of transactions, but also the main thing is the source of funds, everything should be able to be recorded correctly, starting from who provided the funding to the exact amount and including other things.
One of the indications to be able to suspect a use of the flow of funds that is quite blocking is how to see the many activities that might be carried out by certain prospective leaders who take part in the political contestation. It is clear that with the many activities they can do, it can be said that this is also a reflection of how much election campaign funds they have.

He explained that cases where there were allegations or indications of a flow of funds for the 2024 Election from drug transactions were uncovered after the arrests of a number of legislators in several regions. After the arrests took place, it was suddenly revealed that in fact there were allegations that the holding of the General Elections was carried out using the flow of funds from drug transactions.
Indeed, the finding of an alleged flow of funds from the illicit circulation of narcotics to be used as an electoral contest in 2024 is a very sad thing and it should not happen, because it could reflect that the implementation of the General Election was carried out, especially by members of certain legislative candidates (caleg) who did use the funds. the result of the drug transaction is a real fraud, and it can also be said that the parties involved who do it are absolutely not candidates for leaders who are honest and capable of leading the people well.
Especially when it was indicated that it came from legislative candidates, in which they should have the obligation to supervise the implementation of leadership carried out by the executive body and be able to become mouthpieces for the people by continuing to side with the people and prioritizing the interests of the people for upholding the principles of democracy in Homeland.
With the finding of allegations or indications that certain members of the legislature are in fact using the flow of funds from drug transactions for the benefit of the General Election (Election) in 2024, then the security forces, especially from the police, immediately increased vigilance for all members of their ranks in their respective areas. to be able to continue to anticipate the occurrence of similar cases.
On the other hand, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police, Commissioner General of Police (Komjen Pol) Agus Andrianto also immediately ordered all of his staff, especially those in the Directorate of Narcotics Crime to be able to map how funds flow for narcotics circulation for political contestation activities the.
The finding that it is suspected that there are individual election participants, especially members of the legislature who apparently use the flow of funds from illicit narcotics transactions to be used as funds for the implementation of the 2024 Election should indeed be a spotlight and attention so that all people in Indonesia and all parties should continue to be vigilant. including election organizers and security forces.
