Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ketum Kadin), Arsjad Rasjid expressed his hope that the Government will continue to be able to maintain political stability and security during the implementation of democratic parties and political contestation, namely the General Election (Election) event in 2024.
With the holding of a democratic party which is held in the country as a 5 (five) annual event which falls on February 14, 2024, it turns out that it also coincides with Valentine’s Day. So that he also advised all parties to be able to happily welcome and carry out the event.
Of course it would be very good if all elements of society could unite and be happy with each other with lots of love, everyone would be happy with each other in welcoming a democratic party, just like doing a party in general. This should also include political contestation so that it is not colored by horizontal commotion or conflict in society.
It is also undeniable that the data shows how the implementation of the system or principles of democracy in Indonesia has in fact been recognized by many other nations in the world. So it is fitting that this can be maintained very well by many parties so that the image of this nation will also be better in the eyes of the world.
Indonesia also has values such as the principle of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika which was used as the motto of the founding fathers of the nation since the early days of independence, which with this motto allows all people who have diverse backgrounds to become one and become brothers and strengthen one another. And in fact it was indeed able to expel the invaders from the country.
In addition, there are also the values of Gotong Royong which are indeed very attached to this nation. With the existence of these two values that are very synonymous with the Indonesian nation, namely the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and Gotong Royog, it is proven that all elements of society are not easily divided.
Thus, the application of these values must also be upheld by all elements of society in all corners of the country, especially when facing political contestation in the implementation of the 2024 elections so that the democratic party can truly become a party that is greeted with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm for all circles.
The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Muhammad Tito Karnavian also reminded all elements of the Regional Government (Pemda) in Indonesia so that they can all work together to maintain political stability in their respective regions ahead of the General Election.
Maintaining this stability is a very important thing to do, because recently the political machine has started to heat up and the political temperature in the country has also started to rise. So if it is not balanced with a strong commitment to maintain stability, of course it will bring many other negative impacts.
Meanwhile, Vice President, KH. Ma’ruf Amin also expressed the same thing to all Regional Heads, especially Regents or Mayors so that they can be alert and have a strong commitment in maintaining stability and security ahead of the upcoming 2024 democratic party.
For him, the implementation of the General Elections and Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in 2024 will be the biggest and most complex political contestation in the history of politics in Indonesia. Therefore, it is hoped that all people can be aware of any actions that have the potential to threaten the stability of the country.
It’s not half-hearted, in fact every stage of the entire election process is no less important when compared to voting day later. All elements must be able to continuously improve their coordination in anticipating potential vulnerabilities that may arise so that the democratic party can run smoothly, safely and peacefully.
