Jakarta – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is conducting his first overseas working visit to strengthen diplomatic relations, enhance cooperation in various fields, and contribute to efforts to create world peace. This visit includes a series of meetings with state leaders and high-ranking officials.

Through constructive dialogue, President Prabowo can strengthen Indonesia’s relations with various countries, both in the regional and global spheres, to face common challenges in this increasingly complex era. Some important issues to be discussed include defense cooperation, economy, trade, and multilateral diplomacy.

As part of Indonesia’s commitment to becoming a unifying force for nations in the world, President Prabowo also discusses Indonesia’s role in promoting global peace. Indonesia continues to be active in various international peace initiatives, and this visit is an opportunity to reaffirm Indonesia’s position as a country that plays an important role in efforts to resolve global conflicts, especially in regions vulnerable to political and military tensions.

President Prabowo said that his side will work with the United States to address the Palestine-Israel conflict. President Prabowo and the President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, are committed to Palestinian independence.

“I, together with the President of the United States, Joe Biden, are committed to helping Palestine’s independence as it is part of the two-state solution to end the humanitarian conflict in Gaza,” said President Prabowo.

Both countries also consider that Palestine deserves independence.

“Both leaders remain committed to a viable and independent Palestinian state, as well as Israel’s security concerns as part of a two-state solution,” he added.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that President Prabowo’s visit abroad aims to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance cooperation in the defense sector, and discuss relevant global issues, including regional peace and stability.

“We warmly welcome President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to the United States. This visit is evidence of the increasingly strong relationship between our two countries, which is based on shared values and shared strategic interests in the Indo-Pacific region and around the world,” said Antony.

Blinken also mentioned that America is working hard to address global conflicts, including the Israel-Palestine conflict.

“Both Heads of State (President Prabowo and President Joe Biden) are committed to ending the Palestinian conflict and are working very hard to handle that conflict,” he explained.

This visit becomes a momentum for Indonesia to increase its role at the global level, along with increasing international tensions and increasingly complex global challenges. The results of this visit are expected to have a positive impact not only for Indonesia but also for world peace and stability as a whole.
