Don’t Choose Candidates Supported by Radicals and Intolerance

The 02 presidential candidates are clearly supported by radicalists and intolerance. Every campaign has always been attended by radical groups, such as the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), even the ex-Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) group. Even in the great campaign at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) some time ago, M. Rizieq Shihab, the FPI High Priest who fled abroad because he did not dare to be legally responsible for his criminal acts, participated in giving speeches through videotape.

Although rhetorically claimed to support the Pancasila as
the basis of the Indonesian state, but until now the attitude of the 02 presidential candidate on HTI and the khilafah system is unclear. Even on several campaign stages, HTI flags fluttered majestically. Even though HTI has been officially declared a banned organization by a court ruling. HTI officials, such as Al Khaththath alias Gatot Saptono, participated in giving fiery speeches on the Presidential Candidate 02 stage.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is not only banned in Indonesia, but also in 20 other countries for various reasons, including being involved in a coup d’état, threatening the country, causing extreme unrest and being considered a terrorist organization. Countries that dissolve or ban Hizb ut-Tahrir include Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Turkey, Jordan, Libya, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Bangladesh.

Candidates who are supported by radicalists and are not loyal to the Pancasila as a state ideology, we should not choose because it will endanger the ideology and sovereignty of the state, and will make the lives of the people become threatened and not peaceful.
