GAFATAR: TRANSFORMATION OF AL QIYADAH AL-ISLAMIYAH

Al-Qiyadah Al-Islamiyah is a movement that aims to reestablish the Kingdom of God. This movement led by Ahmad Moshaddeq as a prophet.
Moshaddeq revelation isn’t a holy book but a true and applicable understanding of Al-Quran which in the opinion of Mushaddeq been distorted throughout history, this movement is considered critical by The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) on October 2007 and disbanded.
After Al-Qiyadah Al-Islamiyah formally disbanded, its members later formed a new organization called the Movement Dawn Nusantara (Gafatar). Gafatar declared on January 2012 in JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta. Mahful Tumanurung as a chairman.
Gafatar bloom in Sulawesi, especially in the area of Gowa, South Sulawesi. And then, their movement makes Muslims Gowa became worried about activities of Gafatar. Due to the many demands to disband the organization, the Directorate General of Unity Nation and Politics (Dirjen Kesbangpol) issuing rules that deny Gafatar with decree number 220 / 3975.D.III, on November 2012.
Although Gafatar been banned, butthey are continues to grow, one of another in Gorontalo. To protect citizen from deviant teachings of Gafatar, The Governor of Gorontaloformed a special teamtoinvestigatethe existence of Gafatar.
“If necessary, we must have recorded evidence related to their activities in order to report accurate and does not cause a scandal. The result will be send to the Dirjen Kesbangpol,” said Governor of Gorontalo, Rusli Habibie, Saturday (7/1).
Meanwhile, representatives of MUI Gorontalo Lukman Hakim said, MUI received indicate religion misunderstands by Gafatar. They are covered by social, culture and education.
