POSO – News that preach of seven Chinese citizens who are join to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) Region Poso, Central Sulawesi, disturbing residents in the province.
“Because of the news peoples worried, if foreign nationals who join ISIS network come in to Central Sulawesi, so it will be a danger. The news that had appeared on television on March 19, 2015 is making people increasingly worried.” said legislators Central Sulawesi Palu, Umar Awad Alamri (25/3).
“Such concerns are reasonable considering the area just moved recovering from conflict in the name of religion. People imagine brutality of ISIS reports in foreign countries television. Now we are concerned not to make people afraid to move,” he said.
Umar Awad said the government identification of ISIS presence as radical group in the Central Sulawesi could harm the investment world, especially the construction of the smelter in Morowali.
“The Skilled Smelter workers can scare of the issue, because some foreigners from China are working to built smelter to increase mining production,” he said.
“Because of the civil worried, I made a call to Mr. Chief of Police. Badrodin Haiti. He said that, at that time there is four foreign citizens who was arrested, all of them are suspected terrorists, not ISIS” Umar said.
Preaching of radical groups such as ISIS in Poso, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security (Menkopolhukam) Tejo Edhy Purdijatno states that there are seven foreign nationals identified in the group of ISIS.
Of the seven, four of whom have been arrested. Tedjo confirms that the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) also believes that there are seven Chinese who joined the group.
