Jakarta – The government continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving public welfare through the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program. This program is designed not only to meet the nutritional needs of the community but also to strengthen social solidarity and inclusion.
Spokesperson for the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Philips Jusario Vermonte, emphasized the importance of these two values when reviewing the implementation of the MBG Program at Special Education School (SLB) Negeri 5 Jakarta on Tuesday, January 20. During the visit, Philips directly observed how the program was applied, particularly in supporting children with special needs.
“At Special Education School 5 in Slipi, we can see that the commitment of the MBG Program is very prominent in terms of inclusion,” said Philips. He added that the MBG Program is not just about providing nutritious food but also has a broader social impact.
“President Prabowo Subianto once stated that the Free Nutritious Meal Program is not just about eating, but there are many other aspects involved. From the perspective of the beneficiaries, this program emphasizes inclusion and solidarity,” he continued.
On the other hand, member of the Committee III of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) RI, Arianto Kogoya, expressed his hope that this program will soon be implemented in the Papua Mountain region. According to Arianto, the area requires special attention to improve the nutritional intake of the younger generation.
“We greatly appreciate the program from President Prabowo Subianto’s government and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The intention is noble, which is to prepare the younger generation of 2045 to excel through proper nutrition,” said Arianto. He emphasized that with adequate nutrition, Indonesia’s youth will have great potential to realize the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
Arianto also reminded that the implementation of programs like MBG must consider the cultural and geographical diversity of each region. This way, the benefits will be felt equally, especially in areas that have limited access to nutritious food.
The MBG program not only aims to improve health but also to create a culture of mutual cooperation in society. Through collaboration between the central government, local governments, and the public, this program is expected to become a symbol of national solidarity.
“We must use this program to strengthen social ties within society. Gotong royong (mutual cooperation) is a core value of this nation, and MBG is one of its real expressions,” said Philips Jusario Vermonte.
With adequate nutrition, Indonesian children are expected to grow into a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation. The government is optimistic that through inclusive programs like MBG, the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 will come closer to reality.
Through continuous implementation, the Free Nutritious Meal Program is believed to become a significant milestone in the nation’s development history. It not only meets the basic needs of the community but also solidifies the values of inclusion and solidarity that are the foundation of national
