The Eid homecoming policy with the condition that booster vaccines have been deemed appropriate. With this additional protection, people can go home safely from the transmission of Covid-19.

The pandemic has changed everything, including the rules when it comes to mobility. When the pandemic has been two years, the community is also prohibited from going home twice, because Covid cases are at a high level. Meanwhile, mass mobility will increase the number of corona patients.

However, the government began to loosen the rules in 2022 because the number of Covid-19 patients continued to decline, on March 23, 2022, only 6,300 per day. President Jokowi stated, “People who want to go home for Eid are also welcome. With the condition that it must be vaccinated twice and one booster.”

President Jokowi continued, “Homecoming is allowed but everyone must comply with health protocols.” In a sense, even though there is euphoria from returning home, everyone must still wear masks, even if they take private vehicles. Also follow other procedures such as keeping your distance and avoiding crowds. If you rest in a rest area, you must really keep your distance from other travelers.

The community appreciates the government because they were finally allowed to go home after two failed attempts to return home. Currently the situation is relatively safe and many have been vaccinated, so it is only natural that going home is allowed. They will meet their parents and relatives in the village and will no longer hold back their longing, because last year they could only apologize via video call.

The requirements for the booster vaccine before going home are also not burdensome, because all of them have already got it. Since the start of the national vaccination program, the public has been enthusiastic and has been injected with three vaccines. They are aware that vaccination will increase the body’s immunity so it is safe from corona.

A booster vaccine is needed to strengthen the body’s immunity so that it is not easy to get corona. Moreover, this evil virus continues to mutate, so boosters are mandatory. Immediately booster, in addition to the conditions for going home, it also avoids the possibility of getting corona.

Currently, people are starting to hunt for booster vaccines because they want to go home and they just have to come to the designated hospital for injection. Of course, you must bring a photocopy of your ID card and proof of invitation to booster vaccines in the Cares Protect application. Don’t hesitate to get a booster vaccine because it’s safe, has minimal side effects (usually just easy to fall asleep), and is still free of charge by the government.

Vaccination coverage is more than 50% and it is not necessary to get 100% vaccination before being allowed to go home. The community appreciates the government who understands that they have longed to return to their hometown, so that it is allowed even though the national vaccination program is not yet 100% complete.

Homecoming is allowed because apart from the lower number of corona cases than last month, vaccinations have also been carried out everywhere. So that if people travel long distances simultaneously, they will not be afraid of a new corona cluster. The reason is because the vaccine protects them from the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.

The public is asked not to criticize the policy on booster vaccine requirements before going home because this rule was made for their own safety. If someone insists on antivaccination, they will bear the consequences themselves. It’s weird if someone refuses the vaccine when it’s for the sake of protecting their own life.

The entire community appreciates the government’s policy of allowing Eid homecoming in 2022. The requirements for booster vaccines are considered very light because they have already received them. If not, just look for the nearest hospital because only a few months ago the second vaccine. People are relieved because they can finally go home even in the midst of a pandemic.
