10 Years of Jokowi’s Leadership Successfully Achieved Equal Infrastructure Development in Indonesia
Jakarta – Under the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Indonesia has demonstrated extraordinary achievements in terms of infrastructure development.
Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Susiwijono Moegiarso, said that in the era of President Jokowi’s leadership, infrastructure development in Indonesia was very advanced and had a positive impact on society.
“Related to connectivity and mobility, such as airports, ports, railway lines, then there are also those related to energy and food sovereignty with 53 dams, food estates, and irrigation networks,” said Susiwijono.
Then Susiwijono also said that massive infrastructure development would have a massive impact on the economy.
“This massive development has had a big impact on our economic growth over the past decade,” continued Susiwijono.
Susiwijono also explained that the development project was multi-year in nature, and would be sustainable and provide greater benefits to the community.
“These are all multi-year projects so in terms of numbers, relatively all of them have been completed and some are still in process,” said Susiwijono.
Meanwhile, FEB UI Professor, Telisa Aulia Falianty, said that in the era of President Jokowi’s administration, infrastructure development had a big effect on people’s welfare.
“Infrastructure has quite a large multiplier effect, the characteristic of infrastructure in Indonesia is that it is labor intensive, because many PSNs absorb employment opportunities,” said Telisa.
In the era of President Jokowi’s leadership, Indonesia’s economy is very advanced because the majority have utilized the digital economy.
“The economy has also used a lot of digital, so all of this really helps the national economy,” said Telisa.
