The world’s trust given to Indonesia to host the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali is an achievement of diplomacy as well as a great leadership responsibility in formulating innovative solutions for water management for the whole world. This certainly helps resolve the water crisis that is currently occurring.
The implementation of the 10th WWF has gone through three process stages: Thematic Process, Regional Process, and Political Process. Each stage facilitates in-depth discussions on crucial sub-themes, from water-related disaster reduction efforts, cooperation, hydro-diplomacy to financing and knowledge/technology innovation.
The 10th WWF also opens up opportunities for global cooperation in finding solutions and innovations in using water for the sustainability of life throughout the world. Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Tajikistan Prime Minister (PM) Qohir Rasulzoda discussed strengthening cooperation in water resources management.
Indonesia and Tajikistan emphasize the importance of international cooperation to overcome global water-related challenges. Indonesia continues to be committed to working together to ensure the sustainability of clean water quality for the sake of shared prosperity. WWF in Bali shows that Indonesia as part of the global community is committed to protecting and managing water resources.
PM Rasulzoda acknowledged that Indonesia is an important partner in the region and is interested in strengthening multilateral cooperation and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. PM Rasulzoda also expressed his appreciation for Indonesia’s constructive role in regional and international affairs.
In the same vein, the Head of the Secretariat of the National Natural Resources Council of the Ministry of PUPR, Yunitta Chandra Sari, said that her party hopes that WWF will create a very important momentum for global cooperation in protecting and utilizing water.
Indonesia needs to show the world that as part of the global community it has a strong and serious awareness and commitment to safeguarding and managing water as a valuable asset and must be preserved, for the survival of us and future generations.
Through collaboration across countries, sectors and generations, we can create innovative and sustainable solutions in managing water to achieve common goals towards peace, prosperity and prosperity for all humanity.
At the 10th WWF, all stakeholders are expected to contribute to understanding and solving problems related to water issues to achieve sustainable management.

This is certainly a challenge for all parties to be able to unite modalities and increase capacity. One platform for gathering synergy is through international dialogue forums and we will build this together in Bali at the 10th WWF.
The 10th WWF was attended by thousands of participants from various countries. So the ambassadors have an important role in socializing the 10th WWF event so that more participants contribute to this forum in order to face and overcome global problems together, especially the water crisis and climate crisis.
In overcoming water problems, it is necessary to involve state leaders, parliament, ministers, regional leaders and water management authorities in basins in order to determine direction to resolve problems that occur based on data and cases in the field. It is hoped that this political power can bind all parties to work collectively to resolve water problems in the world.
It is hoped that there will be further options, namely a declaration by ministers to realize water prosperity for all and targeting a center of excellence on water and climate resilience.
Indonesia’s active role in the 10th WWF also reflects the country’s seriousness in dealing with water problems at the domestic level. This is an opportunity to mobilize international support, gain access to the latest technology, and share best practices in water resources management. Not only that, this forum is also a means to promote the importance of water diplomacy in maintaining international peace and cooperation, especially in areas prone to water resource conflicts.
