Aceh’s Young Talents Prepared for the Inauguration of the AMANAH Building by President Jokowi
ACEH — Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar (AMANAH) prepares dancers for the inauguration of the AMANAH Building which will be attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on September 8 2024.
One of the judges in the dancer audition, Denny Malik, said that his party would combine all existing dances, both traditional dances and dances that had been developed.
“The concept is that we want to unite all existing arts and culture, existing dances. Traditional dances, as well as explored dances, creative dances. “We will combine it,” said Denny Malik.
This dancer audition activity was held to enliven the opening of the AMANAH Building which will be held in September 2024. Denny Malik added that his party needed around 500 dancers to work with. Meanwhile, the requirements for dancer audition participants are 16-30 years old and are open to both men and women.
“We will show it in a colossal manner later at the opening event of AMANAH. So, hopefully later we can choose. “We need almost 500 dancers working together with dance stylist friends here,” he added.
During the audition process, Denny also said that the dance performance presented would take elements of traditional Acehnese dance but would be combined with elements of modern art and a youthful spirit.
“So, basically everything is Acehnese but modern, fresh Acehnese. Of course, innovative, something new, and not forgetting existing things, existing traditions, existing standards. “Still, it is the basis of all existing art,” he said.
AMANAH has become a forum for Aceh’s young generation to express and create. It is hoped that this superior program can develop the potential of youth in Aceh. According to Denny, his current task is to provide full support for young people to dare to explore themselves.
“We have a duty, we have an obligation to support our young people in Indonesia, especially Aceh. Young generation to dare to explore, dare to express, create. “So, in AMANAH this is the place for them to excel,” he concluded.
