Ahead of Eid, Government Prepares to Distribute Four Social Assistance Programs at Once

Jakarta – The government has confirmed that four social assistance programs will be distributed again in March 2026 ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The four programs include Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT), Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP), as well as food assistance in the form of rice and cooking oil.

The distribution of these social assistance programs aims to help maintain the purchasing power of the community, particularly vulnerable groups, amid increasing needs during Ramadan leading up to Eid.

The Ministry of Social Affairs of Indonesia recorded that the realization of the first phase of social assistance distribution as of mid-March 2026 had reached around 90 percent, benefiting 18 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) across Indonesia. The distribution covers the PKH and BPNT programs for the January–March 2026 period.

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, said the distribution process is still ongoing to ensure that all registered beneficiaries receive assistance.

“The remaining distribution is still in process because there are new recipients resulting from updates to the Data Tunggal Sosial dan Ekonomi Nasional (DTSEN) who need to open collective bank accounts,” he explained.

Under the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), cash assistance is distributed every three months with varying amounts depending on the beneficiary category. Pregnant or postpartum mothers and children aged 0–6 years receive Rp750,000. Elementary school students receive Rp225,000, junior high school students Rp375,000, and senior high school students Rp500,000. Elderly individuals aged 60 and above and persons with severe disabilities each receive Rp600,000 per distribution period.

Meanwhile, Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT) is distributed at Rp200,000 per month, or Rp600,000 for the accumulated disbursement of three months.

In addition, the government is also distributing assistance through the Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) for students from low-income families, along with food assistance in the form of rice and cooking oil to help meet the public’s basic needs.

The government also emphasized that citizens must be actively registered in the Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial(DTKS) in order to receive social assistance. Data that is not updated may prevent potential beneficiaries from receiving the aid.

People can check their social assistance recipient status using their National Identification Number (NIK) through the official website of the Ministry of Social Affairs of Indonesia.

Through the distribution of these four social assistance programs, the government hopes that the public will maintain adequate purchasing power and be able to meet their essential needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
