Aceh – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, has inaugurated the AMANAH Building, a creativity center designed to support and develop the potential of young people in Aceh on Tuesday (15/10). The inauguration ceremony, attended by various officials and community leaders, marks the government’s commitment to encouraging the development of superior human resources (HR) throughout the country, from Sabang to Merauke.

In his remarks, President Joko Widodo emphasized the importance of Indonesia’s readiness to face various global uncertainties caused by economics, geopolitics, and climate change. According to the President, current global challenges must be faced by creating superior human resources who are able to compete in the international arena.

“We are now in an uncertain global situation, both in terms of economy, geopolitics, and climate change. Therefore, our key is how to create superior human resources, so that we can compete with other countries,” said President Jokowi.

The President also appreciated the various innovations produced by Acehnese youth through AMANAH, including the development of artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications for the agricultural sector. “I really appreciate and give a thumbs up to the various applications produced by Acehnese youth. This innovation deserves to be developed further, and I am sure that Aceh is not inferior to Jakarta in terms of creativity,” he added.

Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Prof. Dr. General of Police (Ret.) Budi Gunawan, who was also present at the inauguration, said that AMANAH was the result of direct direction from President Joko Widodo. He explained that this initiative began with the success of the Papua Youth Creative Hub, and showed President Jokowi’s love for young people throughout Indonesia.

“The AMANAH Youth Creative Hub is the brainchild of President Joko Widodo for young people in Aceh. His order was given directly when inaugurating the Papua Youth Creative Hub in Papua, and this further proves that in the era of President Jokowi, development in Indonesia is truly evenly distributed, from Sabang to Merauke,” said Budi Gunawan.

The AMANAH building is not only a symbol of development in the western region of Indonesia, but is also expected to be a driving force for the regional economy. During his visit, President Jokowi saw firsthand various superior products produced by AMANAH, including patchouli and Aceh coffee. Aceh’s patchouli products, which are famous for their best quality in the world, now have an international market that directly penetrates France, the world’s perfume center.

Budi Gunawan added, “We should be proud, President Jokowi has seen AMANAH products directly, all of which have competitive advantages. Especially for Aceh patchouli, its quality is the best in the world, and large perfume producers rely heavily on patchouli from Aceh. AMANAH has opened a direct market to France.”

In addition, Aceh coffee also gets attention with its large market potential in Korea and Japan. In fact, with the existence of AMANAH, the management of rice needs in West Aceh and East Aceh can be done independently without relying on other provinces.

In his remarks, President Jokowi also expressed his hope that AMANAH would be an example for other provinces. “The leap in innovation of Aceh’s youth is no less than Jakarta. I really appreciate the initiative from BIN that has prepared this, and we hope that in all provinces there will be Creative Hubs like this,” said the President.

The inaugurated AMANAH building is not only a center of creativity, but is also expected to be an incubator for innovative ideas from Acehnese youth that can contribute directly to the regional and national economy. Amid global uncertainty, President Jokowi emphasized that Indonesia must be ready to compete through the development of creative and innovative human resources.
