The Manado Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) is an effort by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to further optimize the self-development of all the nation’s future generations in the future.
If optimal self-development of the nation’s next generation occurs, it is not impossible that this will have a very positive correlation for the progress of the nation and state.
How could it not be, because the current young generation is the nation’s successor, and what the fate of this country will be like in the future, whether it will become more advanced or vice versa, is all in their hands.
This indicates how important the role of the nation’s young generation is for the sustainability of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). So this indirectly makes the existence of AMN Manado very important as an institution or place for optimizing youth self-development.
Still talking about efforts to improve the self-development of the nation’s next generation of young people, a very important sector in it is the world of education. Therefore, it is fitting for all parties to give their full support to efforts to provide various qualified facilities in the world of education.
One effort to increase the self-development of young people is by building a residence that is based on developing the character of all the nation’s children.
Therefore, BIN then became the initiator in the development of AMN Manado, which was a follow-up to the directive of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 106 of 2021.
Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Ir. Nurdiana Habibie explained that the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan is not playing around at all in the construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory.
BIN’s seriousness can be seen from how complete the facilities at AMN Manado are, namely a magnificent tower, then a meeting hall, multi-purpose room, sports fields, gardens, road access and a large parking area.
The entire design also follows state building technical standards as stated in the mandate of Government Regulation Number 16 of 2021 concerning implementing regulations for Law Number 28 of 2002 concerning buildings.
The current development of AMN in Manado also continues to show positive results. Regarding this, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Region III, Directorate of Strategic Infrastructure, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Endra Bekti, explained that the construction of AMN facilities in Manado is continuing in progress. Not only that, the PUPR Ministry together with contractors continue to accelerate development, especially in the Block A area or the Boys’ Dormitory Building.
Meanwhile, the Director of Strategic Infrastructure, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Ir. Essy Asiah said that the aim of developing AMN Manado was as a forum to unite all students in Indonesia from various backgrounds.
Students who come from various ethnicities, languages, cultures, religions and also from various regions to remote corners of the archipelago as well as various universities, all have the same right to join and receive adequate facilities at AMN Manado.
The provision of all very adequate facilities from the Nusantara Student Dormitory aims to prepare young human resources (HR) who have quality, integrity and strong national character.
On the other hand, the Governor of North Sulawesi (Sulut) Province through the Provincial Secretary (Sekprov) of North Sulawesi, Steve HA Kepel gave very high appreciation to all parties who have actively participated in the development and realization of AMN Manado, including especially BIN.
The construction of AMN, which has previously been very successful in the City of Heroes, Surabaya, then now in Manado and will continue in the future to several points such as Makassar, Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Malang, is not just a physical building, but a symbol of very strong commitment. from BIN for human resource quality development.
Through the existence of AMN Manado, the creation of a very conducive environment is specifically targeted at all students from various regions in Indonesia so that they can continue to learn, then improve their work and creations and collaborate with each other.
If the nation’s next generation of young people who come from different backgrounds can continue to unite and live harmoniously side by side under one roof, then of course they will also learn how to respect each other’s culture, maintain harmony and cohesiveness and be able to strengthen relationships between the nation’s children in frame of the Republic of Indonesia.
In order to maximize efforts in optimizing the self-development of the nation’s next generation of young people, BIN as the initiator of AMN Manado also invites the cooperation of several other competent parties, such as the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology and also local universities.
BIN’s efforts to optimize the self-development of the nation’s next generation are very serious and not at all joking around. This is very clearly realized by the existence of AMN Manado which facilitates young people to develop further with lots of training.
