Appreciating BIN’s Commitment to Accelerating the Welfare of the Papuan People Through PYCH
The construction of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) building aims to further accelerate the welfare of all people in Papua, through the real contributions of the younger generation, because it supports a lot in increasing their interests, talents and creativity.
The PYCH building was built magnificently by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI). Not only is it physically magnificent, but the building also has complete facilities to be able to support the interests, talents and creativity of young people in the Land of Papua.
These facilities will later be used and utilized by the Papuan Inspiring Young Organization (PMI) in carrying out all of their work programs, which of course have the goal of improving the welfare of the people in Papua and West Papua.
Then, PMI will also carry out a series of forms of collaboration, self-development and also continue to strive to be able to become a motor for the development of young human resources (HR) in Cenderawasih Earth.
For information, PMI itself is an organization under the auspices of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), whose goal is to bring enthusiasm to young people in the Land of Papua.
Then, through PMI it is also hoped that the younger generation in the Land of Papua can implement their creative potential and ideas in order to continue to support the realization of the welfare of the Papuan people.
This is because the realization of people’s welfare in Bumi Cenderawasih is in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua and West Papua Provinces, so that the Government is indeed doing real work in equitable development in the country.
Meanwhile, the West Papua Provincial Inspiring Young Papua Coordinator (PMI), Simon Tabuni stated that the PYCH building would be able to become a place for the young generation of Papua to be able to develop themselves, their interests and talents so that they are able to participate in advancing Papua Land.
Simon Tabuni then added that when these young people can move and really contribute their contribution through the many creative ideas they have, then of course development will be able to go very well.
On another occasion, the Regent of Manokwari, Kermus Indou stated that his party fully supports the construction of the PYCH building. According to him, the existence of this building is able to improve the quality and participation of youth in governance, as well as in development in Indonesia, especially in Papua.
In the building there are rooms for MSME products, training rooms, meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, rooms that can be used for co-working spaces, technology learning rooms to libraries. There is also a grandstand-shaped room with a capacity of more than 300 people. This room can be used for performances, religious and others.
The building will be equipped with 100 Mbps internet speed with 1:1 symmetrical upstream and downstream bandwidth, spread throughout the building. There is also CCTV up to the control room. Next to the main building, there are futsal and basketball courts. PMI head office is also in the building.
While in the dormitory building, there are two dormitory buildings consisting of 24 rooms with complete bed facilities, wardrobes, private bathrooms and others. Each room has a capacity of two people.
So, a total of the two dormitory buildings have 48 rooms, which can be occupied by 96 people. In addition, this building is also equipped with a centralized fire alarm system in the control room, connected to all speakers inside and outside the building.
The PYCH building adopts a green building concept that utilizes natural energy, such as lighting and wind. So, this PYCH Building does not need lights during the day. Likewise the dormitory building, without lighting the lights remain bright on all sides because there are lots of windows and ventilation holes. On the other hand, the architectural design of the roof of the main building was inspired by the traditional houses of the people of Jayapura and Wamena, namely the Honai roof and the Kariwari roof.
To be able to realize equitable development in all regions in Indonesia so that development is not only concentrated and carried out on the island of Java, the Government of Indonesia is accelerating development in Papua to continue to improve the welfare of the people in Cenderawasih Earth. For this reason, the PYCH Building was built which is able to better support the welfare of the community through the role of the youth.
