Appreciating the Brilliant Achievements of 10 Years of President Jokowi’s Government

During the 10 years of President Joko Widodo’s administration, infrastructure development has been the focus of the government, both infrastructure for connectivity, basic services, for food, energy and for industry. The head of state also advised that infrastructure development is not only seen in physical buildings, but its benefits can also be felt by the community.
The success of the extraordinary performance achievements during the 10 years of President Jokowi’s leadership certainly deserves very high appreciation.
Because, thanks to President Joko Widodo’s leadership for 10 years or 2 terms, there have been quite a few extraordinary performance achievements, especially in the economic sector and also infrastructure development.
The Head of State said that in 2024, he will have been serving as President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) for exactly 10 years, and since he first received this great mandate, there have been many challenges that must be resolved appropriately.
So far, the entire community of the country continues to provide support and prayers that are able to strengthen each other and become a source of strength to take steps one by one and face the changes that occur so that now Indonesia is able to become a more advanced country in the future.
During his 10 years of leadership, President Joko Widodo has been able to build various solid foundations for a new civilization with development that is Indonesia-centric and no longer Java-centric, namely building from the outskirts and outermost areas.
To date, the success of infrastructure development and equity has been built along 366 thousand kilometers of village roads, then 1.9 million meters of village bridges, 2,700 kilometers of new toll roads, 6 thousand kilometers of national roads, as many as 50 new ports and airports and 43 new dams and an area of 1.1 million hectares of new irrigation networks.
With the equal distribution of infrastructure, Indonesia is able to reduce logistics costs from previously reaching up to 24 percent, but now it is only 14 percent.
The decrease in logistics costs also goes hand in hand with the increase in competitiveness in the economic sector, where previously this nation was ranked 44th in the world, but is now ranked 27th in the world.
All policies and strategic steps taken by the government so far have proven to be able to further strengthen unity because access has also been more equitable and just, in addition to making Indonesia a very resilient country with strong resilience in facing various shocks including the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change and the heating up of world geopolitics.
Indonesia is even one of the few other countries in the world that has been able to recover more quickly, even continuing to experience maintained economic growth in the range of 5 percent, even though many developed countries are not growing or even slowing down.
Not only that, for the Eastern Indonesia region, it even recorded economic growth of up to 6 percent, then for North Maluku it was able to grow up to 20 percent.
The Head of State said that the trade balance has always recorded a surplus for the past 51 months. In addition, indicators of public welfare have increased significantly, marked by a decrease in unemployment and poverty rates.
Thanks to President Joko Widodo, the unemployment rate dropped to 4.8 percent in 2024. The poverty rate dropped sharply to 9.03 percent in 2024. The extreme poverty rate also dropped significantly to 0.83 percent in 2024.
Meanwhile, improvements in the health sector are marked by a decline in infant mortality rates and stunting prevalence. The infant mortality rate fell from 27 per thousand births to 17 per thousand births in 2023. The stunting prevalence rate fell from 37.2 percent to 21.5 percent in 2023. The number of National Health Insurance (JKN) participants increased from 133 million to 273 million in 2024, half of which were Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) from the government.
With the achievements that have been achieved, President Jokowi emphasized the importance of continuing inclusive and sustainable development, for the welfare of all Indonesian people.
Regarding all the extraordinary achievements of the Head of State, the Chairperson of the People’s Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), Puan Maharani also gave high appreciation for the government’s development achievements and fully supports the sustainability of the development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago.
To achieve national progress in order to welcome Golden Indonesia 2045, sustainable development is important to realize, because it will bring support in the form of investment acceleration.
Likewise, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Ahmad Muzani also expressed his gratitude for the leadership and extraordinary performance of President Joko Widodo’s 10-year term.
So far, Indonesia has experienced a lot of developments, especially when under the government of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia. Some of the developments are in the fields of infrastructure development, economy, law and completion of various people’s prosperity programs.
High appreciation continues to come from various parties in response to the extraordinary performance achievements during the 10 years of President Joko Widodo’s leadership, especially the significant improvement of this country in the economic sector and equitable infrastructure development for the welfare of all people without exception.
