Appreciating the Government’s Efforts in Enforcing the Law on Corruption Cases

Jakarta – The government has once again demonstrated its commitment to eradicating corruption through firm and progressive actions in law enforcement. This effort deserves appreciation as part of the long journey toward creating a clean, transparent, and integrity-based governance system.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has expressed full support for the government’s commitment to strengthening efforts to combat corruption, as outlined in the vision and mission of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“With KPK as the center of excellence in corruption eradication efforts, we are ready to collaborate closely in prevention through anti-corruption education at various levels of education, as well as enhancing synergy with the private and public sectors,” said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto.

The government has demonstrated this commitment through the work of the Intelligence Reform and Innovation Task Force (SIRI) at the Attorney General’s Office, which successfully captured a fugitive in the coal transportation corruption case. According to the Head of the Legal Information Center at the Attorney General’s Office, Harli Siregar, this policy not only sends a deterrent message to perpetrators but also helps restore public trust in Indonesia’s legal system.

“This arrest by the SIRI team is a follow-up to the Attorney General’s request for his team to monitor and capture any fugitives still at large to ensure legal certainty,” said Harli.

Legal observer Masriadi Pasaribu praised the work of the Attorney General’s Office under Attorney General ST Burhanuddin’s leadership.

“We highly appreciate the performance of the Attorney General’s Office. In the past four years, their performance has been exemplary, and they have even dared to target cases within the judicial system,” said Masriadi.

In this regard, the government is expected to continue maintaining transparency and independence in handling each corruption case, without exception. Additionally, public support is crucial to strengthening the ongoing anti-corruption agenda.

It is hoped that this step will continue to be significant in building a clean and highly competitive Indonesia on the global stage.
