Appreciation of the Role of Religious Figures Invites the Community to Maintain Unity and Integrity After the Election

Religious leaders have a very important role in continuing to invite all levels of society in Indonesia to always maintain national unity and unity, especially in the momentum following the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) event like now.
It is common knowledge that religious figures are one of the frontliners who are in direct contact with society and provide many examples or role models as well as advice regarding practices for being good citizens. So in terms of their social function or role, religious leaders are clearly vital parties in ensuring that unity and cohesion in society is maintained after the political contestation in the recent elections.
If society is able to unite after voicing opinions, voices and views in the world of politics, then society will also have a mature attitude towards democracy in the country.
The existence of unity and oneness in society is very important because it will really support and expedite the entire process of circulation or subsequent change of leadership seats, so that in any case the programs of future leaders to advance this nation will be fully supported.
Realizing this, the Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) Provincial Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management invited all residents in Bumi Anoa to once again strengthen each other’s unity and unity after the 2024 elections.
Chairman of the Southeast Sulawesi PWNU, Muslimin said that the implementation of voting in the 2024 Election was something the community should be grateful for because it could be carried out safely and smoothly.
After carrying out this huge national event safely and smoothly, of course the community should be grateful. So, one of the real forms of expressing gratitude from the public is to ensure that the five-yearly democratic festival is truly beneficial for the continuation of national and state life.
After the official announcement of the results of the vote count which was issued by the General Election Commission (KPU RI) some time ago, now is the time for the public to be able to accept freely whoever is the best son of the nation who will lead this nation in the future. So with this attitude, the community will also play an active role in minimizing the turmoil that might arise as a result of the announcement of the vote count, in other words, harmonization will be created again at the citizen level.
So far, the implementation of the elections has gone very well, of course it cannot be separated from the public’s awareness of respecting each other amidst differences in choices. Even though there are different choices, this is not treated as an opportunity for mutual disagreement, thereby further muddying the atmosphere by creating polarization or even leading to endless debate, but instead must be interpreted as an effort by this nation to find a leader who is most appropriate and can carry out trust well to advance the country.
Now is the time for the entire community to be able to provide mutual support to each other again and be able to unite in the unity and unity of the Republic of Indonesia. Even though we have previously had different opinions or choices and even different camps in the elections, this must be immediately restored to fully support the success of the nation’s progress. The success of the election is the success of all elements in Indonesia, so it cannot only be claimed as the success or skill of a certain group.
Likewise, Habib Syech bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf also continues to remind the entire community to uphold the foundations of the state regarding the value of unity and oneness in the post-2024 election momentum. According to him, by maintaining unity and integrity, this country will it will also be much safer, more conducive and more beneficial for all people forever. Therefore, it is very important for all elements of the nation to continue to maintain the four pillars of the state, namely Pancasila, NKRI, UUD 1945 and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
The implementation of the four consensuses or pillars of the state in everyday social and state life is actually only in the interests of life and the sustainability of society.
When the implementation of the four pillars of the country can be carried out well, the Indonesian nation will continue to be harmonious and united even though it is shaken by many potential threats, but this country will remain strong to fight them.
In terms of giving an appeal to the entire community to continue to maintain unity and unity after the 2024 elections, the role of religious figures is indeed very important. Without religious figures, perhaps society will also experience difficulties and confusion because there are no good role models or role models in maintaining the integrity of the nation. Very high appreciation should be given to all religious figures who have continued to fight at the forefront to provide awareness to citizens.
