Asta Cita Strengthened, Employment Service Commitment Improved for Workers

Jakarta – The government continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to strengthening the Asta Cita agenda by improving the quality of employment services to make them more inclusive, modern, and responsive to workers’ needs. This effort is realized through the Ministry of Manpower’s (Kemnaker) strategic steps to improve the quality and access to public services throughout 2026.

This service transformation is considered a crucial step to ensure that the public, especially workers and job seekers, can access various employment programs more easily, quickly, and effectively. With a public service-oriented approach, the government strives to make the employment sector a key pillar in improving worker welfare while strengthening national competitiveness.

The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, emphasized that the primary focus of service improvements lies in optimizing strategic programs such as Job Loss Insurance (JKP), job training, and strengthening the labor market. According to him, these three aspects are key to addressing the challenges of an increasingly dynamic world of work.

“Services must be fast, easy, and responsive. Therefore, we are paying serious attention to improving the quality of digital systems and services so that the public truly feels the benefits,” said Yassierli.

Digitalization is one of the main pillars of this service transformation. Through the implementation of an integrated digital system across work units, administrative processes can be significantly streamlined. The public can now access various employment services more efficiently without having to deal with complicated procedures. This not only increases user satisfaction but also strengthens bureaucratic transparency and accountability.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Manpower is also encouraging the implementation of efficient and environmentally friendly work patterns as part of internal reforms. Efficiency is considered crucial to ensure optimal utilization of the ministry’s resources, while also supporting energy conservation efforts relevant to current global challenges.

“Internal improvements need to be implemented in line with constantly changing global challenges, from economic pressures to energy crises in several countries,” Yassierli emphasized. This statement emphasizes that employment service reforms are not only oriented towards domestic needs but also responsive to global dynamics.

This step aligns with the government’s ambitious vision of providing modern, sustainable, and results-oriented public services. System integration and operational efficiency also result in lower service costs, allowing the budget to be allocated more effectively to programs that directly address workers’ needs.

Through the synergy between strategic policies and service innovation, Asta Cita is further strengthened as a foundation for building a more inclusive, productive, and globally competitive future for Indonesian employment.
