BALI — Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) Denpasar City revealed that the World Water Forum (WWF) is an opportunity to increase commitment to water waste management.

H. Mardi Soemitro as Chair of DMI Denpasar highlighted how important the implementation of the 10th WWF Summit in Bali was.

The reason is that the world-class water forum is able to encourage all parties to pay more attention to environmental sustainability issues, especially wastewater treatment, sanitation and water discharge issues.

For him, several of these issues are increasingly worthy of serious attention.

Re-management of waste water is very important so that water resources are not wasted.

“We process it again so that this water is not wasted, so it can be used for other activities, for example to water flowers or plants,” said Mardi.

So of course the WWF Summit is a forum for uniting commitments from various parties to support world efforts to preserve the environment, especially water and waste management.

The DMI chairman hopes that there will be an active role for all parties to protect the earth together.

“Hopefully the World Water Forum in Bali can be held safely, smoothly and successfully so that we achieve our common goals,” said Mardi Soemitro.

Meanwhile, support for the implementation of the 10th WWF in Bali also came from academics who consider WWF to be an important factor in realizing better water and environmental governance for the world.

“The 10th WWF event in Bali was able to ideate various concrete solutions regarding water management challenges, said Udayana University (Unud) academic, Efatha Filomeno Borromeu.

The main focus that is important to be discussed at the 10th WWF event is the ecocentric approach to management to create sustainable governance. Integrated policies regarding sustainability can be established through the 10th forum. Thus, it is the key to overcoming various water issues.

“WWF’s focus must be directed at urgent issues such as the clean water crisis and pollution of water resources. “While ensuring water security, for all parties,” said Efatha.
