Collaboration and Digitalization are Dr. Dewi Puspitorini’s Missions in the 2025 UI Alumni Association Elections
JAKARTA – The election for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period has entered a crucial phase, with the presence of strong figures ready to steer Indonesia’s largest alumni organization in a new direction. One of the leading candidates who has attracted attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine, who presents a progressive and inclusive vision.
Carrying the tagline “U&I Guyub: U and I become Us,” Dewi offers a vision of making the UI Alumni Association a large, united home, adapting to the challenges of the times, and making a real impact on alumni, the alma mater, and the nation. Her figure is considered capable of bridging the needs of the millennial and Gen Z generations, who dominate the demographics of UI alumni today.
“ILUNI UI must be a collaborative platform that gathers positive energy across generations for mutual progress,” said Dewi in the 2025–2028 ILUNI UI Candidates’ Idea Competition session.
Its five strategic missions include total digitalization of the ILUNI system, strengthening the global alumni network, empowering alumni in aspects of welfare and health, making concrete contributions to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and strengthening the role of women through the female alumni leadership program.
” I will optimize digital platforms like UI Connect as active, dynamic, and cross-sectoral ecosystems to strengthen alumni collaboration without the constraints of space and time,” he explained.
Support for Dewi has poured in from various parties. The General Chair of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI), Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, described Dewi as a unifying figure across faculties and generations. Meanwhile, FTUI alumna Kim Mei said,
“Mbak Dewi is a genuine figure who cares about Gen Z and millennials. She’s supportive and connects with young people,” he explained.
The direct election for the ALUNI UI Chairperson (Pemila) will take place online via the UI Connect app on August 23–24, 2025. The Chair of the Pemila Committee, Yunadi Ramlan, stated that alumni enthusiasm was very high. As of early August, more than 10,000 alumni had been verified as voters.
The General Chair of ILUNI UI, Didit Ratam, invited all alumni to actively participate in the Student Election, emphasizing that this election is not just a contest of ideas, but also about collaborative leadership for the future of the organization.
“It’s time for us to move forward because time cannot be repeated,” he concluded.
With serial number 6, Dewi brings a new spirit to ALUNI UI which is collaborative, digital, and inclusive towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
Dewi’s extensive track record in healthcare and organizations provides a strong foundation for implementing this vision. Dewi served as the personal physician to the Minister of Health and the First Lady, held strategic roles at RSPAD, and served as Secretary General of the Indonesian Medical Faculty Alumni Association (FIAKSI).
