Commemorating Youth Pledge Day, Young Generation Encouraged to Become Pioneers of Conduciveness

JAKARTA — Commemorating Youth Pledge Day 2025, various parties are calling on the younger generation to be pioneers of conduciveness amidst social dynamics and digital challenges.
This call emphasizes the spirit of unity pledged on October 28 1928 which must now be realized through a tolerant, tough and adaptive attitude to maintain national harmony.
The General Chairperson of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI), Dr. Ali Hanapiah, M.Si, emphasized the importance of the role of youth as the vanguard of national stability.
“We support the steps the National Police (Polri) deems necessary to maintain national security and integrity, in line with the President’s directives in handling the current situation,” he said.
He invited all Indonesian youth to make Youth Pledge Day a momentum to strengthen unity.
“Let’s cultivate a spirit of unity for the sake of our beloved nation and country. As young people, we have a great responsibility to maintain harmony and prevent division,” he stressed.
Ali Hanapiah added that KNPI is committed to supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita program, while also instructing all KNPI DPDs throughout Indonesia to become pioneers of conduciveness in each region.
“Youth must reject all efforts to divide the people and the authorities. Together, let’s create a progressive, safe, and prosperous Indonesia, not a return to difficult times,” he said.
From Semarang, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi also emphasized the importance of synergy between local governments and youth organizations in maintaining social stability.
He said that regional conduciveness has a direct impact on investment and economic growth.
“Youth organizations have a strategic role in maintaining a conducive climate and helping the government reduce extreme poverty,” he said.
His party will continue to involve youth organizations in the formulation of regional social and economic policies.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Central Java Muhammadiyah Youth Executive Board, Abdul Ghofar Ismail, emphasized his organization’s readiness to synergize with the local government.
“We are ready to be a strategic partner, a critical partner, and a synergistic partner. Muhammadiyah Youth is actively committed to reducing poverty through social activities starting in the immediate community,” he said.
He also hopes that young cadres will continue to develop and contribute to the welfare of society.
The momentum of the 2025 Youth Pledge serves as a reminder that maintaining conducive conditions is a concrete form of practicing the spirit of unity.
With a spirit of collaboration and social responsibility, the younger generation is expected to be the driving force behind creating a safe, harmonious, and highly competitive Indonesia. (*)
