Jakarta – The Subsidized Housing Program continues to show significant progress thanks to strategic collaboration between various agencies. The government under President Prabowo Subianto is targeting the construction of 3 million decent and affordable homes, with cross-sector synergy key to acceleration.

Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait emphasized that the role of financial institutions, including Bank Indonesia, is very important in facilitating financing.

“BI’s support demonstrates real synergy in realizing massive subsidized housing,” said Maruarar Sirait.

The development of subsidized housing is showing a positive trend, and the government continues to encourage banking involvement. Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo stated that BI supports public housing through liquidity incentives and joint funding.

“We have distributed Rp 80 trillion in liquidity incentives and allocated Rp 45 trillion from SBN purchases for the housing sector,” Perry Warjiyo emphasized.

Banking support is also growing stronger. In collaboration with Bank Rakyat Indonesia, the government has set a quota of 350,000 subsidized housing units this year. BRI President Director Hery Gunardi revealed that subsidized mortgage loans (KPR) disbursement by June 2025 had reached more than 101,000 units.

“As much as 97 percent of the financing comes from the FLPP scheme,” concluded Hery Gunardi.

Synergy also extends across ministries. The Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with BP Tapera, has allocated a special quota of 2,000 subsidized housing units for civil servants, streamlined FLPP mortgage (KPR) registration, and expedited the permitting process. Maruarar Sirait praised these initiatives.

“The installment of Rp 1.7 million per month is much lighter than the rental fee,” added Maruarar Sirait.

The social dimension of this program is evident in the collaboration between the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the Indonesian Ulema Council. The distribution of 5,000 subsidized housing units for Quran teachers, preachers, and Islamic activists is supported by sharia-compliant financing from BTN and BP Tapera.

Comprehensive collaboration between ministries, banks, and religious institutions creates a robust ecosystem to accelerate the provision of subsidized housing. Funding integration, bureaucratic simplification, and equitable distribution ensure access to adequate housing for all levels of society.

This step proves that the government is not only focused on numerical targets, but also ensures that the benefits are directly felt by those in need.
