Danantara Injects Rp130 Trillion into 3 Million Houses Program, DPR Praises Real Collaboration for the People
Jakarta – The Investment Management Agency of Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara) has officially committed to supporting the financing of the 3 Million Houses Program by allocating Rp130 trillion.
This move has received broad appreciation from Indonesia’s House of Representatives (DPR) as a concrete synergy between the investment sector and a people-centered housing program.
Commission V member Mori Hanafi views Danantara’s policy as a strategic step to promote wider and more affordable housing access.
“We welcome Danantara’s strategic allocation of Rp130 trillion to support the 3 Million Houses Program. This is a clear example of collaboration between the investment sector and public welfare initiatives,” he said.
The 2025 program will involve state-owned banks (Himbara) including Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, BTN, and Bank Syariah Indonesia.
The financing scheme will be implemented through the People’s Business Credit (KUR) Housing scheme, expected to be disbursed within six months.
Mori emphasized DPR’s commitment to monitor the program to ensure the funds reach the targeted low-income groups and underdeveloped areas.
“Commission V will oversee that the funds are properly allocated, especially to low-income communities and disadvantaged regions,” Mori added.
He stressed the importance of ensuring the KUR scheme does not become an additional burden, but rather a bridge to decent homeownership.
He also urged all stakeholders to maintain synergy and prevent bureaucratic obstacles.
“We encourage close coordination among the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, KUR disbursing banks, and local governments to avoid bureaucratic hurdles,” he said.
Separately, Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the agency has developed a well-prepared financing scheme in collaboration with national banks.
This support is a vital initial step to broaden access to decent housing for the wider community.
