The meeting that took place between the Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Bahlil Lahadalia , and figures in Rempang finally got an answer and common ground. During the meeting, the Government reiterated its strong commitment to continuing to protect all the rights of the people, including cultural rights and the birthright of residents who have lived there for generations.
With the investment coming in to develop Rempang Eco-City, it is estimated that it will become a new economic machine for Indonesia in the future. So, automatically the economy of people who run businesses such as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will also improve.
It is known that the investment value that will go into this project is 381 trillion Rupiah, which makes Rempang Eco-City able to provide escalation to improve the quality of life and also the welfare of all the surrounding communities.
In fact, at the time of implementation and even at the development stage, it is estimated that the community’s economy will continue to be boosted by various activities carried out by resident MSMEs. Regarding this matter, the Head of the Public Relations (PR), Promotion and Protocol Bureau, Ariastuty Sirait , explained that as the investment progresses, there will be many very positive impacts received by the community , including the entire community in the Barrelang area and the Indonesian people in general . .
How could it not be, because the growth in investment realization will also continue to be balanced by community involvement of MSME players. Because later there will be strategic partnerships between large companies and MSMEs which will continue to be developed. So that later investment entering the region can clearly have an impact on development and the people’s economy. MSMEs will be helped and can become more vibrant. They can even directly enter the global supply chain to further increase the opportunities for MSMEs to advance to class.
The development of the Rempang area itself will be able to improve the investment climate and also the country’s economic potential. Member of BP Batam’s Area Management and Investment Division, Sudirman Saad, also said that this investment could absorb tens of thousands of workers from the local community.
On the other hand, if the National Strategic Project is hampered, it will also result in a lot of poor performance and a series of other negative impacts received by society. Therefore, the public should be able to observe everything very wisely.

For your information, it turns out that there was a conflict and chaos surrounding the construction of the National Strategic Project in Rempang which occurred some time ago, and there were indeed parties who deliberately became provocateurs, thus seriously disrupting the stability of the country’s security.
Not half-hearted, even the provocateur who has now been arrested by the security forces also incited acts of violence that fueled the aspirations of the residents in defending Rempang. The 23-year-old man with the initials YRB, who has now been arrested by the Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda), spread calls to the public to attack the police.
Regarding this arrest, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation ( Diretkrimsus ) Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Ade Safri Simanjuntak, revealed that during the arrest, his party also succeeded in confiscating the cell phone belonging to the alleged suspect. used to disseminate chain messages via the WhatsApp (WA) application.
The suspect carried out incitement and also sent out all messages containing provocation the night before the demonstration . For his actions, suspect YSR was charged with Article 28 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45 A Paragraph 2 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 156 and/or Article 160 of the Criminal Code with criminal imprisonment for a maximum of 6 (six) years and/or a fine of a maximum of IDR 1 billion.
Therefore, with the fact that has now been revealed that the riots that occurred in Rempang some time ago were apparently caused by the actions of provocateurs, the public should be able to increase their self-vigilance and not be easily taken in by anything on social media.
