“Dewi Puspitorini Brings the Spirit of Togetherness, Alumni UI We Care Becomes a Momentum for Solidarity”
Jakarta — The Alumni Association of Universitas Indonesia (ILUNI UI) is entering a pivotal phase with the election of its Chairman for the 2025–2028 period. Among the candidates, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, an alumna of the Faculty of Medicine UI class of 1987, has gained wide attention for her fresh ideas emphasizing cross-faculty and cross-generational collaboration.
As candidate number 6, Dewi carries a grand vision titled “Building an ILUNI UI that is cohesive, progressive, inclusive, and impactful for alumni, alma mater, and the nation toward Golden Indonesia 2045.” With “togetherness” (guyub) as the central spirit, Dewi calls on alumni to foster solidarity through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us.”
“Togetherness is not just about being with each other, but about the strength to move forward collectively,” emphasized Dewi Puspitorini.
One of her flagship programs is the full digitalization of ILUNI UI through the development of the UI Connect platform. This platform will serve as an interactive space connecting alumni from various regions and abroad, while also opening more effective avenues for collaboration.
Support for Dewi also came from the Chairman of ILUNI Faculty of Medicine UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan. “Dewi is a figure capable of embracing cross-faculty and cross-generational ties, and she deeply understands the challenges faced by alumni today,” said Wawan Mulyawan.
Dewi’s long track record further strengthens her leadership credibility. She has served as Director of Health Professionals at RSPAD and was entrusted as the personal physician of the President. Within alumni organizations, she has served as Secretary General of ILUNI FKUI, Deputy Chairman of ILUNI FKUI, Secretary General of FIAKSI, and Chairman of IKAMARS UI.
Beyond the election, Dewi has also promoted concrete activities to reinforce alumni solidarity. One such initiative was the “Alumni UI We Care!” event held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta. The event ran from 08.00 to 17.00 WIB and brought together cross-faculty alumni, final-year students, fresh graduates, industry players, professionals, and business communities.
The program featured a variety of activities, including a job fair offering employment opportunities across industries, an entrepreneurship talk show, a culinary bazaar of alumni MSMEs, free health check-ups, and live entertainment.
With her inclusive vision, digitalization strategy, and concrete programs, Dewi Puspitorini affirms that the future leadership of ILUNI UI will not only strengthen the organization internally but also deliver tangible contributions to society at large. It is this spirit of togetherness that she champions as the foundation for making ILUNI UI adaptive, modern, and globally competitive.
