JAKARTA – The election for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period will be held electronically on August 23–24, 2025, through the UI Connect application. Of the seven candidates running, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, is one of the strongest candidates with broad support across faculties. Carrying the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi offers progressive, inclusive, and impactful leadership.

“I am ready to build a UI Alumni Association that is united, progressive, and inclusive, with a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Dewi Puspitorini.

In her grand vision, Dewi formulated five strategic pillars. The initial step is to fully digitize the UI Alumni Association (ILUNI) system for transparency and efficiency. Strengthening the global alumni network, sustainable empowerment in the areas of welfare and health, contributing to a healthier Indonesia, and strengthening the role of women in leadership are also priorities.

Dr. Risman Pasaribu, KAHMI National Expert Council, considers Dewi as the right figure to lead ALUNI UI.

“Mbak Dewi has high capacity and ideas for building ALUNI UI in the future, so she is a great hope for alumni,” said Risman Pasaribu.

Positive views also came from alumni from across the class. Adisti, a 2001 alumna, praised Dewi’s work ethic.

“He is a hard worker, has a passion for creativity, and always prioritizes togetherness,” added Adisti.

Sabi, a Civil Engineering alumni class of 2000, expressed full confidence.

“Under Dr. Dewi’s leadership, the UI Alumni Association will become more united and have a real impact on all alumni,” said Sabi.

The program’s consistency is a major selling point. Tsabitah Addinni, a 2021 alumna of the UI Faculty of Public Health, believes Dewi’s “empowered UI alumni” program is capable of addressing the challenge of job opportunities.

“This is what made me choose Mbak Dewi,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ekasakti Octohariyanto, MPdKed, a 2002 alumnus, highlighted Dewi’s experience in management and cross-sector collaboration.
“With the slogan ‘guyub bersama’ (unity together), let’s realize the togetherness of UI alumni,” Ekasakti concluded.

With her track record, vision, and broad support, Dewi Puspitorini emerges as a candidate who is not only ready to lead, but also to unite the potential of UI alumni for a real contribution to the nation.
