Jakarta – The election for Chairperson of the Universitas Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 term has become a major point of attention among alumni. One standout candidate is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, who is promoting a vision of collaborative leadership to transform ILUNI UI into an inclusive, progressive, and impactful alumni organization.
Carrying the tagline #U&I Guyub — short for U and I become Us — Dewi emphasizes that ILUNI UI should serve as a “great home” for all alumni across faculties, generations, and professions.
“ILUNI UI must become a hub of connection and collaboration that strengthens alumni contributions to national development,” said Dr. Dewi.
As a pulmonologist and alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine, Dewi brings an extensive track record in the health sector and leadership across various institutions. Her broad vision is translated into five strategic missions: full digitalization of ILUNI UI, strengthening the global alumni network, alumni welfare and health programs, contributions to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and women’s empowerment through leadership.
Dewi places strong emphasis on gender equality, encouraging the active involvement of female alumni in strategic sectors to boost national competitiveness.
“Gender equality is key to building a modern, responsive organization that can meet the challenges of our time,” she asserted.
Dewi’s commitment has garnered widespread support from various alumni groups. Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, Chairperson of ILUNI FKUI, described Dewi as a unifying figure capable of bridging faculties and generations.
“She brings vision, experience, and integrity aligned with the current needs of our alumni organization,” he stated.
Running under ballot number 6, Dewi is one of seven candidates contesting the ILUNI UI 2025–2028 Chairperson seat. The election will be held via e-voting through the UI Connect app on August 23–24, 2025. The current ILUNI UI Chairperson, Didit Ratam, has encouraged all alumni to register and verify their accounts to participate in the election.
Didit emphasized that the ILUNI UI General Election (Pemila) is not merely a competition, but a forum to test ideas, integrity, and the ability to foster collaboration.
“Now is the time for UI alumni to choose a leader who can take the organization into the future,” said Didit.
With her collaborative vision, concrete programs, and extensive experience in the health sector, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini is widely regarded as a candidate capable of transforming ILUNI UI into a strong, globally competitive alumni force that contributes meaningfully toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
