Jakarta – The General Election Commission (KPU) has confirmed its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the implementation of the Re-vote (PSU) through strict supervision and strengthening coordination with various parties.

Three regions, namely Papua Province, Boven Digoel Regency, and North Barito Regency, are scheduled to hold a PSU on August 6, 2025.

The Chairman of the KPU RI, Mochammad Afifuddin, stated that all stages of the PSU will be strictly monitored so that it runs according to the principles of honest and fair democracy.

“We encourage the active involvement of traditional leaders, religious leaders, and community leaders to invite residents to come to the TPS. To support the readiness of the organizers, technical and ethical training is also carried out at all levels,” he said.

Afifuddin added that the implementation of the PSU is a form of corrective action carried out by the KPU following the Constitutional Court’s decision.

He emphasized that close supervision from the central to regional levels is key to ensuring that the PSU runs smoothly and does not cause disputes again.

Of the 24 cases ordered by the Constitutional Court, 22 PSUs have been carried out from March 22 to May 24, 2025.

The Head of the KPU’s Legal and Supervisory Division, Iffa Rosita, emphasized that her institution has mapped potential legal issues to prevent violations in the next PSU.

“We continue to carry out mitigation to prevent legal issues from arising in the three regions that will hold PSUs. This is what is now our joint concern,” she said.

Iffa also emphasized the importance of maintaining the professionalism and neutrality of all organizers in the field.

“There should be no more dramas. After PSU, then PSU again,” she said.

She added that supervision and assistance will continue to be carried out to ensure that all procedures run properly.

The Head of Bawaslu for Supiori Regency, Papua, Desy Rumaseuw, said that supervision of the distribution of PSU logistics to Supiori has been carried out intensively since the shipment from Biak Numfor Regency.

“The purpose of our supervision is to really ensure that all stages of logistics management can run smoothly and in accordance with applicable regulations,” he said.

Desy explained that logistics such as ballots, ink, forms, and campaign equipment are now in the KPU Supiori warehouse under strict supervision with the KPU and police.

He said that his party had written to the KPU to immediately complete the delivery of logistics that had not yet arrived in order to avoid technical delays approaching the voting day.***
