Inauguration of Amanah Building, President Jokowi’s Real Step to Optimize the Potential of Aceh’s Youth

The government of President Joko Widodo continues to be committed to developing human resources, especially among young people. One of the concrete steps taken is through the Inauguration of the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) Building. The inauguration aims to optimize the potential of young people in Aceh. In addition to the building inaugurated by President Jokowi on October 15, 2024, Amanah itself has good programs to hone the creativity of young people in Aceh.

One of the programs is to hold One Day Class Content Creator training. This training aims to optimize the creative potential of Acehnese youth who are known to have high talent and innovation in the field of digital content.

One of the young content creators, Daffa Urrofi, who was a speaker at the event, stated that Acehnese youth have extraordinary potential to be developed. According to him, the rich history, natural beauty, and uniqueness of Acehnese culture can be an endless source of inspiration for content creation. This great potential needs to be maximized by providing young people with ways to explore Aceh.

This training not only focuses on content creation techniques, but also includes scriptwriting, shooting, and editing. Participants are taught how to create interesting and quality content so that it can attract the attention of the audience on digital platforms. Daffa emphasized the importance of highlighting local values ​​and culture as part of the content produced.

Not only in the field of content creation, AMANAH also successfully held handicraft training in Pidie Regency, Aceh. This training aims to hone skills and innovation in the production and marketing of Acehnese handicraft products. This activity received a warm welcome from participants, especially the younger generation who are enthusiastic to learn and develop their potential.

Fitriani, one of the training participants in Pidie, said that this program really helped local craftsmen to improve their competitiveness in the market. They gained a lot from this training, so now they are more ready to compete with other superior products. This training took place at Fitri Souvenir, Garot Village, Indrajaya District, which is known as the center of Acehnese handicrafts.

Products such as bags, wallets, umbrellas, pillowcases, traditional clothes, and various gold thread embroidery are the main focus of development in the training. Although they have long been handicraft producers, Fitriani admits that marketing their products is still limited. The presence of AMANAH is expected to open wider market access, both inside and outside Aceh.

The AMANAH program is not only aimed at housewives, but also involves the younger generation in the development of Pidie’s traditional crafts. The assistance provided by AMANAH also emphasizes the importance of product and marketing innovation, especially by following existing trends. This aims to make these craft products more easily accepted by a wider market.

In this training, participants are taught how to make trending products such as bags, hats, bandanas, and fans. With this innovation, it is hoped that Pidie products can compete in a wider market. In addition, the involvement of local youth is also expected to help market their products by utilizing digital technology.

Digital technology is one of the important aspects emphasized in the AMANAH program. Participants are taught how to utilize social media and other digital platforms to market their products. Thus, handicraft products from remote areas of Aceh can be known more widely and have high competitiveness.

One of the goals of this training is to empower local communities to be more economically independent. By mastering skills in production and marketing, it is hoped that craftsmen can increase their income and make a positive contribution to the local economy.

The AMANAH program also seeks to preserve Acehnese culture through the development of handicrafts. By introducing Acehnese products to a wider market, AMANAH hopes to strengthen Acehnese cultural identity on the national and international stage.

Fitriani said that the presence of AMANAH is very helpful in expanding their product marketing network. The presence of AMANAH is a great hope for local craftsmen to be able to develop and compete in a more competitive market.

In addition, this program is also expected to be an inspiration for the young generation of Aceh to continue to work and develop their potential. With the right guidance and support, Acehnese youth are expected to be the driving force in preserving and promoting regional culture.

The AMANAH program also plans to continue holding similar activities in various other areas in Aceh. With a wider scope, it is hoped that this program can provide greater benefits to the Acehnese people as a whole.
