Indonesia Holds Exhibition at WWF, Creates Space to Share Ideas from Various Countries
BALI — Indonesia is holding an exhibition at the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) which aims to create a space for sharing ideas from various countries in the world.
Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, opened the WWF exhibition and Expo which took place at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).
According to him, the presence of these actors and expos can provide a very good opportunity to promote initiatives and innovations from various countries.
Not only that, but all other relevant stakeholders in the water agenda will also be involved.
“This will create space for all participants to share ideas and best practices regarding water management with different approaches,” said Puan.
He strongly believes that the 10th WWF Fair & Expo can encourage all stakeholders to mutually strengthen cooperation on water management.
Because, it is very important to have collaboration between sectors such as government, parliament, private sector and civil society.
“Therefore, I commend all countries and stakeholders who participated in this event. “I hope you will find new partners during this great opportunity,” said Puan.
The Chairman of the DPR RI hopes that the exhibition and expo at the world-class water forum will provide benefits for the water security agenda for the welfare of all the world’s people.
“I hope you hold successful and productive exhibitions and expos,” said Puan.
Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno revealed that the potential spending of the 10th WWF delegates could reach IDR 1.7 trillion.
Please note that not only at BNDCC, but exhibitions are also held in other locations, namely Kuta and Bali Collection Nusa Dua.
Sandiaga revealed that all products sold by MSMEs have undergone curation related to environmentally friendly production and liquid waste management.
Some of the products from the exhibition, such as fashion, do not use chemicals, then there are craft products that are sourced from recycled materials, thereby creating a circular economy.
“There is a local gaming activity, namely Lokapala, which raises the vision of sustainability with the main character Baruna, this will encourage low-carbon tourism,” said Sandiaga.
