Indonesia hosts the 10th WWF in Bali, various series of side events are held
Bali – The Indonesian government is presenting various supporting activities as well as arts and cultural exhibitions at the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) which will take place on 18 – 25 May 2024 in Nusa Dua, Bali.
Apart from participating in the main forum, delegates and participants are also expected to be able to enjoy the beauty of Bali. This was stated by Endra S Atmawidjaja, Deputy Chair of the Secretariat of the 10th WWF National Committee and Expert Staff to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for Technology, Industry and the Environment.
Endra emphasized that the world’s largest water forum, which was held for the first time in Indonesia, involved various parties with diverse interests.
“It is an honor for Indonesia to be able to host the 10th WWF. “We want the participants who attend not only to take part in the main forum, but also to experience the different atmosphere of Bali,” said Endra.
Therefore, the event has been carefully prepared, including the main forum as well as activities outside the forum such as exhibitions and cultural arts performances.
Indonesia as the host prepared 280 sessions at the 10th WWF, including 55 side events and 10 special sessions.
Bali International Convention Center (BICC), The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali will be the location for the High Level Meeting on 20-21 May 2024. Followed by interface meetings with those responsible for political, thematic and regional processes as well as bilateral meetings with several heads of state.
Meanwhile, Nusa Dua Hall, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), is also the location for the Opening Fair and Expo. One aspect that attracted attention was the Cultural Parade with the theme “The Ocean of Civilization”, which was held in The Nusa Dua area.
Sandiaga Uno, who also serves as Chair of the 10th WWF Fair and Expo V Division as well as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), stated that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy provided main support by facilitating the delegates who attended.
On the other hand, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, General Manager of The Nusa Dua, stated that as the manager of The Nusa Dua area, they have carried out area maintenance to ensure services, infrastructure and integrated security systems are in optimal condition.
“The Command Center facility is equipped with integrated CCTV, TV Monitor, Integrated Radio Communication, Information System Link with BMKG and BNPB (Alert System for Tsunami, Earthquakes and extreme weather) as well as ITDC security units reinforced with K9, Fire Brigade units and area patrols, ” said Made Agus.
