ISF 2024 Accelerates Clean Energy Transition Through Global Cooperation

JAKARTA — The International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 continues to accelerate the clean energy transition through global cooperation.

Many valuable insights into how the world can work together to accelerate the transition to clean energy were shared at the forum.

Today’s meeting brought together key leaders from across sectors to share their views and strategies for realizing a greener energy future.

President and CEO of Climate Works, Helen Mountford highlighted the importance of supportive policies and investment in green innovation.

Through the ISF 2024 activities, for him, it has become a forum for world leaders to formulate appropriate policies and strategies to support the transition.

“The clean energy transition requires strong policy support and significant investment from various parties,” he said.

“ISF 2024 provides a platform for global leaders to formulate policies and strategies that support this transition effectively and inclusively,” Mountford added.

Meanwhile, Special Adviser and Assistant Secretary General for Climate Change, Selwin Hart spoke about the urgency of global action.

For him, the climate crisis must be responded to quickly and in a coordinated manner by all parties.

“The climate crisis demands a rapid and coordinated response. Cooperation between countries and sectors in addressing this challenge is essential. ISF 2024 underscores the need for concrete action to accelerate the clean energy transition in order to achieve global climate targets,” Hart stressed.

Previously, at the opening of ISF 2024, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, also assessed that the forum would encourage the realization of a global energy transition.

Not only is it a discussion forum, but ISF 2024 is also a platform for creating innovation and collaboration to achieve sustainability.

“I believe that ISF 2024 is not only a discussion on the challenges of climate change, but also a platform for innovation, collaboration and hope to realize sustainable progress,” he said.

Discussions at ISF 2024 emphasized that the clean energy transition requires close collaboration between various parties, such as countries, the private sector and international organizations.

The agreements reached at the event were able to strengthen the framework for investment, policy and innovation which are critical to achieving a sustainable and inclusive energy future.
